I exclusively read novels. Am I subhuman in your eyes?
I barely read anything so who am I to judge
>>24669477Yes. But it's because you post soaijacks on /lit/
Not really. I can't enjoy novels so I read only nonfiction and consider myself a subhuman since I apparently can't appreciate artistic value or deeper themes unless they are elaborated as an essay
>>24669512Do you find non-fiction just interesting for its informational value or does it also entertain you and engage your mind?
>>24669516the latter
I only read non-fiction but its because I'm dumb and for some stupid reason I think it will make me smarter. But I know it doesn't.
>>24669594Why become smarter? What's the benefit? Socrates says: For I know that I have no wisdom [sophiā], small or great.
i read some non fiction, mainly history, but there are always those long phases in every book where its just "this happened then that happened then this happened then that happened" for page after page in between the more engaging and interesting parts, and sometimes I end up losing interest, but at the same time I dont want to give up, so I end up in limbo and dont do any reading for weeks while I fantasize about reading something else
>>24669477it's fine. I exclusively read sci fi. Most books simply aren't worth reading.
>>24669477yeah, real big brained individuals read poetry
>>24669477what shall one read instead? I love fiction too.
>>24669477You're a subhuman for posting basedjack garbage on /lit/
