Tom Jones might be the best novel there. Comedy not taken as seriously these days.

>>24681089I've heard of all of them (except desu I'm kinda vague on the Balzac one, the title looks familiar but I don't know anything about it, French literature doesn't interest me very much so I think a lot of it gets filed away as the same thing in my mind) but I've only read Wuthering Heights and The Brothers Karamazov. And the first 10 percent or so of War and Peace. Didn't finish it because I relapsed and went to jail lol but not because of the book ^_^
