Does anybody have the solutions to the exercises in An Introduction to English Grammar by Sidney Greenbaum, Gerald Nelson, Second Edition? I can't find them anywhere online.

Here you go. Use the sidebar and then click on the appropriate chapter for your answers. Only some of them are answered however, due to how subjective some exercises can be.

how's this textbook? are you ESL? i ask because i'm a native speaker but have always considered going back and re-learning grammar since i know i've forgotten a lot from school. i think it'd be beneficial for writing if i reviewed the rules so i knew how to bend them

no

I haven't read any other grammar textbooks but I feel like it strikes a good balance between being comprehensive and concise. It's definitely a textbook for those who are already considered fluent as you'll need to have some background knowledge on common grammar phrases such as adverbs, adjectives, prepositions, etc. as they are sometimes used before they are described formally. It reminds of a better structured Linux Info documentation if you've read those before.

For myself I started reading it after seeing it in the Trivium diagram in the wiki page. I'm not looking to be a writer specifically but just generally trying to improve my liberal arts skills.

Now that I'm looking closely it doesn't seem to be the right version.
