I don't read anymore. When I was younger I used to read books, mainly fiction and some history.

I feel like I'm becoming a retarded wagi normie who only cares about career stuff. My reading is doomscrolling twitter or here.

Is there a particular book that you could recommend me, to reinvigorate a love of reading? I know I'm being vague and not helpful here. I have not read any of the classics, the western canon, any of that shit, apart from some Dostoyevsky novels.

My favorite book is Flowers for Algernon.

What do you want out of reading? Knowledge? Wisdom? Enjoyment?
Until I get the answer, I arbitrarily recommend Heart of Darkness, Anna Karenina, No Country for Old Men, and Book of the New Sun.

Your image choice belays a contaminated mind but hope is not entirely lost. Triangulate a patch of sunshine and leave your phone charging. Do not begin with a tome. You wouldn't re-enter a teenage running habit with a trail 40K. Better to get your grubby mits upon All the pretty horses, I'm thinking. Because the "wildness" therein will flow into you. Because it will justify why you are sitting outside in the sun, practising the act of balancing mind upon mind, and it will justify this words I write to you.

bump for trying

I had the same problem and unironically harry potter reignited my passion for reading. Easy and quick to get through, yet not the worst story, especially the mystery side. Made reading feel rewarding again, moved on to real books from there
