I want to believe in this book's premise.
Make your dreams come true
>>24684181Kropotkin was naive.
i bought this book almost a decade ago off a recommendation on /x/.found the book to be pretty beneficial but once it started to get all metaphysical i just stopped reading.
>>24684438He was. Its between avarice and altruism honestly.
>>24684181Then you need to study ecology, because Kropotkin anticipated many of the fundamentals of it.Every ecosystem is filled with profound examples of how the individual efforts of organisms exploiting niches completes nutrient cycles that creates abundance and thriving for many. The forest is a society and community of organisms, many of which communicate across species bounds. Bird song informs about the various conditions in the forest; a sudden silence or warning call could indicate danger. Squirrels and birds will respond to each other's warnings.Yes there is competition, predation, and parasitism, but these too are factors of evolution and help to sculpt species.Study ecology and nonhuman biology and you will find a wealth of wonder and inspiration.
>>24684538it's literally metaphysical from the beginning
>depending on the "aid" of othersi'd prefer not. adam smith put it best:>It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest. We address ourselves, not to their humanity but to their self-love, and never talk to them of our own necessities but of their advantages
>>24684642Dude was insane. He thought since he cannot win peasants over to his cause the anarchist cities and towns would grow their own food on high-rise gardens.
>>24684642It'd be great if you could cite a few interesting books about ecology
>>24684181cher wrote a song about beleivinghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZXRV4MezEwso did journeyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1k8craCGpgs>why even read kek
>>24685077you know what. you're absolutely right. i have no idea how i got the idea that there was practical stuff in the beginning.still I want to believe. out of all the (((magic))) books out there i feel this one has some merit.
>>24686244I'm sorry for saying this, but if you completely dismiss the existence of the supernatural, including magic, then you are dim. It is undoubtedly real. The question remains in the finer details of how it manifests itself within our reality.
>>24686437come on now. you come across as insecure. I never said I completely dismissed it. I want to believe but after all this time I am still skeptical.
