If meaning only exists because conscious beings assign it, could there be “hidden meanings” in the universe that no consciousness has ever noticed and if so, do they actually exist before being discovered?
>>24685014Akhenaten gets a responseYes a tree falling over in the woods does happen even if no one sees itBut if you mean this is part of a world model and thus is covered by consciousness, if something is outside the world model, then it is still true even if not cogitated so far e g it is consciousness that has to catch up to truth and the truth is always what it is regardless
>>24685014i've been thinking along similar lines myself lately.>could there be “hidden meanings” in the universe that no consciousness has ever noticed i think so>do they actually exist before being discovered?i think they exist as the potential for making a new kind of meaning, like when the the french revolutionists realised that, linked together by the printing press and a common language, they could attempt a democratic republic, or edgar allan poe realising that the feudal nostalgia of the south was perfect for staging futuristic literary effects. so the conditions for meaning have to already exist in the world for someone to make use of them creatively.
What does this have to do with fucking books you damn pseudos
>>24685014Hidden meaning is just noticing geographies buried by mud and "time", the same slime that buried the kings of sodom and gomorrah and left their subjects to grovel in anal slime. When the impossible is eliminated, then only that which is true remains, was an axiom of King Aristotle. For example, If the British didn't rescue that pharoah it would surely have met a gruesome end smeared in the poop and then boom sizzle powder of so called Egyptian muslims. The real ancient inhabitants of Egypt are the Gauls who sailed away from Egypt but now are too embarassed to return to their homeland. Well now the nile is practically indistinguishable from the ganges but at least we have the louvre to saunter in. But none of this is really hidden, it's just culture jammed away by the useful idiots.
