Can the term "exists" even be meaningfully applied to God? Since "existence" is a category within the universe, does saying "God exists" place God within creation rather than as the ground of all being?

>>24687773>Can the term "exists" even be meaningfully applied to God? Yes. Existence is not contingent on God
>>24687773Read the paper "Into the Dark" by Eric Perl. He addresses exactly this with the apophaticism of Plotinus, Proclus and Aquinas
>>24687773I recommend reading the works or Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite. They address this exact issue. I believe you can get his complete works for 23€ on amazon. Also try get Eric Perl's Theophany, which is the best introduction to Pseudo-Dionysius.
>>24687820Buddhism can't be "read", it's only lived. "Reading" buddhism is just participating in a white protestant textual understanding of religion. The vast majority of buddhists have absolutely no textual understanding of their religion. It exists only in lived experiences, rituals, disparate and contradictory mythological beliefs, and most importantly, family relations. If you want to understand buddhism buy a plane ticket to thailand and watch how those people mediate their entire existences through a network of temples, monks, altars, prayers, ghosts, holidays, and giving shitloads of cash hand over fist
