>>24689325“Dance of old Neptune”Short story: two men on a crab boat (the boat is named the Neptune) in Newfoundland are lost at sea and are running out of food and about to starve to death. One is clearly analogous to Jesus and the other is analogous to Judas. There’s some philosophical discourse between the two here and it’s largely boring. The one man offers his now frail, almost dead body for the other man to eat and survive (representing Jesus offering his flesh to his followers) and the other man kills the guy with a hammer but before he can eat the body he is rescued by a Japanese whaling vessel named the Valhalla (representing pagan master morality as superior to the weak spineless Christian ideology of the dead Jesus fisherman).
