Kek, an AI company is hiring poets and other artists to help fine-tune language models to actually serve as full replacements for artists. What does /lit/ think of this?
lol
Better money than you'll ever see in a lifetime of earnestly writing poetry/screenplays
>>24690366are they hiring experienced shitposters?
Man I almost want to apply.
>>24690368>>24690372They're dogshit wages in the AI sector. Engineers make seven to eight figures.
>>24690371Yes, actually. See the second pic.
>>24690318If AI replacement were a threat, all the midwits on Xitter who talk about AI all day would be among the first to go, because their output is completely unremarkable. Yet there they are.
>>24690366>playwrights>fiction experts>twatter personalitiesBehead AIfags. Kick a startup CEO down a well. Drown corporate rats.
>>24690318I hate tech bros with the power of a thousand supernovas. Frank Herbert was a prophet for our time and the inevitable Butlerian Jihad will do nothing wrong.
>>24690318>Get hired>Feed it nothing but Rupi Kaur instagram shit >AI craps out awful poetry in response>?????>ProfitSounds like a plan
>>24690318Don't really care honestly, I write because I like telling stories and world build. I use AI to iron out some concepts in my world building, the only other use I have for it is when I have a word on my mind that just doesn't come forth, 9/10 times chatgpt knows the word I'm thinking off. With AI the quality of writing will actually increase over time since it much more easy to have coherent world building. Just like in the arts the only ones who yap about how AI is destroying art yada yada are beginners and mediocre ones. For pros it will just increase the level if they're not tards and learn how to use it.
>>24690372Apply and do the minimum amount of work. If some idiot wants to waste money on you why not? Just remember it's a fake job not the real one.
>>24690318So, (they) are now scrapping the bottom of the barrel and admitting defeat after scrubbing every nook and corner of the internet to steal data. The models still need more information. After years of hype and being given all the money and data in the world.
>>24690366>Twitter (X) personalities
>>24690682this seems like an attempt to get around the looming copyright nuke when courts finally remember that copyright is conferred automatically and you don't forfeit it when someone decides to impersonate you.
>>24690318>Not me. >Not nevah.
>>24690665>I like writing to tell stories and world build>But I delegate half that process to a automated scrabble machineQuit lying. You play video games and “write” on the side for inane DnD campaign ideas. Go back to your containment thread.
I can make ChatGPT write actual artful prose with a few sly prompt tweaks. This was inevitable. And yet fuck those people and may they burn in hell.
Welcome to a world where you can no longer write something and claim it as your own. The better your prose the more likely the accusations of using AI. Particularly when you consider how coarse the average person's literary sensibility is. It is already the case that when I post something well-written people are like "hmmm probably AI". It's the new "this nigga uses a Thesaurus to write his posts lmao". But it's inevitable. Whatever. May the AI tsunami wash over us. May the machine grow exponentially smarter exponentially faster and may we regress to grunts and hand gestures.
There is a special place in Gehenna for these turn-coats but then again they never had a SOVL

>>24690366If I took a job like that I would feel like a genuine traitor to all organic life. Unless I purposely.fuck with the AI to make it even more sloppy.

>>24690318Anyone who would accept this blood money probably has nothing, and never will have anything, worth reading (from an artistic standpoint) so I wouldn't worry about it.
Carreer shiptoaster for hire here. I've been involved in numerous secret raids on /tv/, and I have over 300 confirmed bans.
>>24690318Too bad they require success in the establishment. I have no published works.

>>24692349You're never going to make it, you're a completly uninteresting person without ideas
>>24693147>More projection Waddle back to the containment thread, tubby. You can’t think for yourself so all you do is parrot other people and AI.
>>24692694I would do that because it makes twitter seethe.
>>24693199You're still not going to make it amerifat. Your projection is pitiful and sad.
>>24692390Gehenna sounds like poo mischief to me
>>24690371Our day will come
Death to all clankers!
>>24692467>I would feel like a genuine traitor to all organic lifePersonally, I'd feel like a heroic slayer of hacks. The Great Hack Purge of the AI Age can't come soon enough.
>>24693399>im not projecting. Don’t call me fat, you are fat!OBESE ESL ALERT. I can hear your arteries twisting. Those cold clogged tubes. Gnarled and bloated like dead vines on a wall. You should ask AI for blood thinner recommendations.
>>24692950Industrial society will obliterate art and the human capacity for it. At least I would have the money to see the world before it is all subsumed by pure "technique."
