Any fiction out there with insanely, autistically, unnecessarily detailed descriptions? I'm talking a scene where every possible detail is explicit, down to the centimeter dimensions of each object in the room. Every sight smell taste sound sensation felt by the character in an instant of present experience. Has this ever been done?
Borges' short story Funes the Memorious is about a guy who's brain is basically what you're describing. May satiate you, if partially.
