god how i wished the t-rex ate little timmy and lex and shit them out and then eat them again and shit them out again little shits ruined a good book
Almost none of Crichton’a works feature kids unless some deviant is fucking them, his stuff is all adults being adults adulting while they adult, so actually a reasonable change of pace if you read him a lot. Might be annoying if you don’t
It's T. rex.
>>24690841>>24690841Tim was cleary just written as an outlet for Crichton to sperg about dinosaur facts. If Tim's age weren't explicitly mentioned, it would be impossible to tell that he was supposed to be an actual child. Fwiw, I was also hoping the T. Rex was going to munch them. Also taking this moment to state that Ian Malcolm is one of the most insufferable characters ever written, and his death was the best part of the book (although it sounds like he comes back to life for the second book o_o).
>>24691986>t. Rex
>>24692545Okay Malcolm sucked at times, but some of his dialogues could be fun to listen too. I think the movie made him more likeable.
What are some other must read dinosaur books? I've already read The Lost World, Carnosaur, and Raptor Red.
>>24692669I agree, the movie made his character infinitely more likeable. In the book his character's talking points boil down to: Chaos theory means that in any complex system I am always proven right.
