https://www.mongoldev.com/I've spent a decade trying to write as an ESL. How awful am I?
>>24690866The problem with writing bizarre stuff as an ESL, is that your intentional choices are indistinguishable from actual mistakes. So the entire thing just reads as incoherent. What is a “single standing bag holder trying to cross a Lapp,” even mean, and how does it relate to Michael? Just seems disorganized. Start from square one, write some simple short stories. Read more. Then come back when you have built up those technical skills, so you can actually convey whatever strange things you’re trying to communicate. Of course, you say you’ve been doing this for a decade, so I doubt this is the first time you’ve heard this.

The power is your imagination is evident. It is your exactitude that is lacking. My advice is this: write simpler sentences. Your ideas are strong enough to stand alone.
