I read Crisis years ago and don't remember a single thing. But I picked up Hindu Doctrines and am finding it a lot more interesting; I should have gone with that one first, and it's a good overview of his approach. He makes a lot of good points about the nature of scholarship and it's a more broadly-applicable book than I expected.
