I think people just project whatever they want onto the Lewis Carroll books to pretend they're better than they are, finding whatever they want in "hidden meanings"
>Obvious tourist can’t help but post a children’s cartoon instead of the book You betray what you are before hitting post.
>>24692353As I posted in /tv/ yesterday in the thread criticizing this same movie. Both books start with Alice falling asleep and end with Alice waking up. She is dreaming, and dreaming has been known as a way to interact with oneself's subconscious for a while now. Dreams, even your dreams that seem "random", are actually a window to your deep self. Lewis simply wanted to write a girl's dream, but to say that it's just "random stuff lol xd" is wrong.
>The Mountain Goat is the leaper on earth, as the Frog is the leaper in water (i.e. astral plane).>353 is the number of the Frog, the symbolic leaper, jumper, or voltigeur, denoting in the present context the leaper of the aeons>Thus, the leaper— whether as dog, pig, or frog—is the changer of aeons in the Mysteries
>>24692380Same file name too. Can any other /litv/izen recommend good movies related to literature or good books about cinema?
>>24692353His books are considered good because he was great at wordplay. The only other writers on his level are Shakespeare (in LLL, for instance) and Joyce.
>>24692353Is this an isekai?

>>24692422Yes
>>24692422In this particular, specific niche - yes. Both Shakespeare and Joyce obviously have more going for them than just whimsy and wordplay.
