What did you like/dislike about this book?
>>
I dislike not having re-read it
I liked it making every single character humane
>>
I enjoyed Beckoheltar Whiteka a lot

I just started, and I got past Troeltsch's fever dream and fevered scanning for a face in the floor around pages 60-63, and I gotta say, that prose sold the book to me, really sold it. What I like so far is how lively all the characters are.

I admit it, I never finished it. I only made it to page 250. Reckon when I'm done my current stack, I'll carry on with it.

took me three months as i started it on vacation and back in work was a return to hell but i await the day fondly to re-read it, just redoing 2666, which is even better the 2nd time what took my by surprise... oddly

Ne shutka. Rjaka :)

I've tried reading it twice. Dropped it after a few hundred pages when I just didn't care about any of the characters and the humor wasn't landing for me.

It's my favorite book. My favorite part is when the OUS, conducting a technical interview on Molly Notkin, are shining a bright light on the subject's face to extract as much information as possible, and in this process replaces the lightbulb with a much bigger lightbulb. Fucking hilarious.

I'm 2/3rds of the way through. I keep having to stop for weeks at a time because it gets me too depressed. I can't put my finger on it, but every time I pick it back up I feel like my life becomes worse.
