What's one book you enjoy immensely but would be embarrassed to admit so?
>>
none. i read pulp here and there, but i have no shame about it. most people read nothing at all. their opinion is of little matter to me.

I wouldn't broadcast the fact that I enjoyed In Praise of the Stepmother given that it is essentially well written smut but I would still say it was a good book

I was a teenager. There was no internet porn back then. Inspiration for taking matters into your own hands, was either imagination or perhaps a catalog or store flyer.
I was reading some sword and sorcery fantasy stuff, and found a coupe books by one Sharon Green. Think I got the author right. Had a pretty amazon on the cover, some kind of saddle on what appeared close to a polar bear she was riding, her sword aloft.
Didn't take me too long to realize, she was a sex slave to the head barbarian dude. She had taken an oath to some god, to serve... whoever for whatever reason. When the adventure started, it became apparent that some of the men were scared of her especially if he had a sword or a stick in her hands. Sharon Green did a couple of these types of novels. You got pretty girls, guys with swords and adventure, and titillating S&M as well.

So yeah, my guilty pleasure back then.

I can read Alice in Wonderland multiple times and not get bored of it, but I get weird looks if I say it's my favourite book. Same case with some of the Grimm Tales

>>

Simple. Would you have sex with a 6 year old kid? No, right? Of course not. So then why is it suddenly okay if you put a 1 to the left of it?

Why do McCarthy fags always swallow the bait?

Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World
I enjoyed it a lot and it practically got me into reading history
