Does anyone here have an MFA?
>>24703185is this just a stock response you have for anything that uses words you don't know
>>24703077Sad but true picture. We all think we are special, but we are all just worthless warm bodies. I am going to call my family and tell them how much I love them.
>>24703077I've acquired a Master of Fapping Aggressively
>>24703437He's right. The "look how clever I am" to joke ratio is off. That's a telltale sign of a leftwing meme.
>>24703185Are books the original leftist meme? Literacy was a mistake
>>24703467If only guys fucked as furiously and aggressively as they fapped. They fap hard but won’t fuck hard. and most think vaginas just can’t orgasm
>>24703694You are probably unconsciously seeking weak tea guys
>>24703694If I fuck as hard as I jerk off I'm gonna cum in like 30 seconds and then we're both gonna be disappointed.
>>24703694>most think vaginas just can’t orgasmThat's because they're circumcised. No woman's gonna cum from a mutilated dick.
>>24703694Ayy bb what's yr discord???>>24704132This>>24704143Truthnvke. I can cum in under five sevonds w utterly depraved porno and a deathgrip and the fury of the gods but desu pussy grip diff even when it got dat gorilla grip and one also prefers to savor the latter>>24704291Skill issue
>>24703077This makes posting in /wg/ much more efficient. Thanks
>>24703077I do. The criticism is probably the best part of getting an MFA, you receive a great deal of it. It makes life after the MFA feel like the most solitary and isolating thing, you just live alone in year head with nothing but your writing to keep you company, almost no feedback and what little you do get lacks muceh depth or insight. First year after completing my MFA was especially difficult but things got easier and I learned to not rely on that constant feedback, but I still miss it.
>>24704512>mucehI hate trackpads. much in the way of depth or insight.
>>24703077Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it
>>24704512Are you published, then?
>>24704543What is worth doing? Art and science are the basis of civilization. The arts are worthwhile, an education in the arts is not a waste. As long as you make something of it, give something back to civilization. If every bright young man or woman is squeezed into a mold which teaches them to think the value of a mind is the salary it can gain in service to the state and corporations then society will lose its soul. Can you imagine that sort of world? A soulless, consumerist technocracy yielding mass surveillance, high tech death machines, and an endless stream of sociopathically manipulative social media content aggregators? Can you imagine? Like a dystopian sci fi novel.
>>24704590>Are you published, then?Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it
>>24704602The missile knows where it is.It knows where it is at all times. It knows where it is because it wants to punch the exhaust shute of the Attack Helicopter. It knows the Attack Helicopter's exhausts are hot and moist. It knows it will explode deep inside "her" shute. It is going to blow inside "her" shute at all times. The missile knows where it is.And it is hard.
>>24704602Can you imagine being constantly monitored by an authoritarian government which actively hates you and your entire people, seeking your death and ruin with obsessive and calculating malice? The artist, in many ways, is free. An artist that makes something of his skills and wins bread for his table. An artist does not need to be perfect, and an artist must make a compromise for the realities of earning his bread, but the artist is generally free in mind and spirit.Rich? Often, no. But free. In the act of creation, self-expression, the mind is set free.
>>24704590I was published before I entered the MFA, decent amount in the journals and my first book came out right before I started the MFA.
>>24704623Why'd you get an MFA then?
>>24703613It's like psueds activity reject brevity and seem to sincerely believe using more words than necessary makes them sound smarter.
>>24704750Getting published is easy. Writing something which lasts and has a real affect is considerably more difficult and even while riding the high of getting published I knew that the only worth my published works had was in showing how to develop as a writer, assuming I ever managed to write something of real worth. Complacency has never been enough for me, fairly jealous of those that need nothing else.
>>24704617I'm watching MASH for like the 5th time right now lol. This show is so good.
>>24704617That AH-64 is a dude. You just fell for a TRAP.It was always an exhaust pipe.
>>24704809>That AH-64 is a dude.That's an AH-1 SuperCobra. And She has a Feminine Penis.
