I got him in my recommended and decided to click on one of his videos. It started with him saying that the USA is going to fall because they're fighting too many wars. He then listed Ukraine (which the USA is not fighting) Israel/Palestine (which the USA is not fighting) and Taiwan (which the USA is not fighting). Yeah I get that he means the US are putting a small percentage of their budget to it and providing diplomatic support, but it really shows a lack of care and precision in the way he explains things so that he can prop up a narrative beneficial to his home country. Then I looked on his channel and he had videos titled along the lines of "How evil triumphs" or "Why evil rises". He mentioned being inspired by Asmiov's foundation and psycho history in the small bit of him I watched. How does he reconcile applying normative values and attempting to create a scientific, predictive study of history and geopolitcs? Terrible science, terrible history. Maybe the rest of his work is amazing, but the parts I sampled were trash.

A future where the Han genocided all other races, except for a significant group of europeans and americans (those that defected to chinese side against their own), who feel even less at home in the dystopian history rewriting chinese rule than the average Han pleb.The series of books is less of a single story, and more of an expressionist painting or world building exercise, as there are continual shifts in perespectives and character, that you never know when any perspective gets dropped forever suddenly.It delves into the themes of clash between european mindset and the chinese one. I didn't finish the series, but I'd recommend the first 3 books.

Just think of it as a large number of Boomers who can fall into either category, hence making things harder for the younger generations in either way.Since the Boomer generation is so big (that’s why they’re called Boomers, there was a “baby boom” after WW2, or a huge increase in births), you could have a lot of them retiring and hence being difficult/making demands on the economy and Social Security system propping them up, and, if disabled or becoming disabled, on their younger children, or on the nursing homes they’re put into. And, conversely, on the other hand, since it’s such a big generation, there could also be a bunch of them not retiring, whether in fields like middle and upper management at corporations, or as tenured professors at universities not giving up their posts and contributing to the brutal job market for new professors, etc. Hence also harming the younger generations by making the job market more difficult for them, not freeing up as much space for new talent. If you assume they also tend towards filling the positions of authority in various of these jobs, we can also talk about their hiring practices, perhaps how they make things harder for younger gen’s in that way too. (For instance, seemingly petty small stuff like requiring a bachelor’s degree even for their basic shit office job, when they didn’t necessarily need it, or when in their day college wasn’t as prohibitively expensive and the loans/debt incurred wasn’t so much of a possible fatal albatross around one’s neck.) You don’t have to view this strictly as a moral criticism of Boomers. According to conventional logic, they can basically either retire, or they can choose to keep working, they have to do one or the other, so it’s hard to blame them for choosing one. But it could still be true that both of these can cause issues, and it’s part of a larger demographic crisis the West is facing. Look at it apart from moral judgment, and just as a description of the state of affairs.
