Why buy a $200+ ereader when you could simply read epubs and pdfs on your phone w/ the ReadEra app?
Try Moonreader. I've always used readera. but after tryin Moonreader it's way better.
because the ereader offers a moderately better experience and i'm not poor

>>24710971>>24711035I bought a kindle for $60 bucks 7 years ago and it’s still kicking. Has inflation gotten that bad?
E-reader user. However thanks to this thread ive switched from readera to librera One thing that bothered me was that readera would keep documents with the download name of the file (because it probably makes a copy)
Use LibreraFD.Readera overrides some css with its own retarded styles. But any phone reader is retarded anyway, he's not going to notice.
is it worth buying an e-ink ereader? how does it compare to a phone with red light filter? My problems is that I can't read more than 10 minutes on my phone because it hurts my eyes and I'm a poorfag that can't afford many books, how different is an e ink display in regards to eye comfort?
phone screen is like 1/5 -- 2/3 times the size you'd want to be reading a book on. the screen is miserable to look at compared to modern eink, and i'd always be thinking about my battery draining. I've been reading way more since I got my 6" Clara BW, but really anything this size or larger from the last like 3 generations is fine as long as it runs KOReader and has a warm backlight. If I had to do it again I think I'd get a pocketbook era or verse pro. The contrast on the color versions is worse if that matters to you I get epubs from libgen/annas and then if i like the book I buy a physical copy to display on my performative male pseud shelf.
>>24711847E-ink readers don't have glare and reflections caused by mirror-like phone screen. Those are the primary eye strain contributors, especially whenever you're outdoors. They also don't blast your eyes with direct light in the evenings. Just go to any tech store and look at any reader they have on a shelf. Best case for you is to just buy something used for cheap. People constantly sell them in good condition because no one really reads. Best purchase of my life, wish I'd gotten it 10 years sooner.
