All his books are just his own personal theories based off studying fiction and non fiction books. His books aren't based on any objective fundamental truths or even his own life experiences.
>>24711138I don't know who that is, but he looks like your typical boomer that has an unhappy marriage and countless twisted fetishes.
>>24711156Many such cases. And youre correct OP, Its just self help slop. There are a few good self help books but its generally repetitive. Read Plotinus.
>>24711138I love how he filters out the retards. His biggest haters are the retards who can’t figure out how to use his books. They think it’s some quick fix. “Hey I read the 48 Laws of Power and I don’t feel powerful.” Kek
>>24711138There are far worse out there. Robert Greene is more or less decent. He offers lots of quality information from many good sources. He doesn't just pull everything out of his ass.I would argue the biggest fraud is (by far) Ryan Holiday. I have read 3 books by him and it didn't contain anything worth remembering. Just a retarded version of stoicism, which already isn't really the most logical philosophy.
>>24711193True, That makes sense. I read like 1 or 2 Ryan Holiday books about a decade or so ago and i remember getting the vibe that he was just a Robert Greene lite with much less to say. I also forgot most of what his books were about but remember thinking they were a waste of time and i might as well be reading Meditations or the Enchiridion instead.
>MUH BASEDENCE!!!!just go back to plebbit holy shit
i love reading about all those stories and anecdotes. it's a mix between western and eastern canon and put some names on my radar
>>24711138No narrative is 'objective truth,' if you mean specific particles smacking one-another or whatever gay materialist blah-blah. But ethos in good literature & fiction are usually as true and informative as most lived experience. A document of another's lived-experience/observations will usually inform of a true dynamic as much--or shy of as much--as your 'going-about' in the world. And that I'm sure is what you mean by hard-truth or reality you homo.>I haven't even read him,--just observed he's quite smart and perceptive.--Bestseller for a reason.
>>24711138Fiction is didactic, or else smart and succesful people wouldn't highly regard it.--But they do.
>>24711138You're one of these retards that thought the "rules" were meant to be absolute and scientific aren't you?
>>24711138Isn’t 48 laws of power banned from prisons?
