Loneliness is, first and foremost, a symptom. Only those who have nothing inside themselves complain about loneliness; because they have no inner life, they need, in every conceivable way, to turn to the outside world. Their existence is mediated solely by the existence of others, which is not enough for them. In other words: it is as if the individuality of these men were so reduced that they depended on others to fill the void within them. Thus, collectivity is born: a bunch of individuals with such small individualities that they need each other to form a complete “self.” While a subject endowed with full individuality can be himself, because he has everything he needs within himself, these men need to interact with others all the time, because it is from this interaction that their empty existences acquire some meaning. Their existences are empty; their heads have no thoughts of their own; their personalities are unbearable. That is why they need to suppress their own existence all the time; they feel pain and discomfort when they are alone, because loneliness is unbearable to them. The man endowed with individuality does not see loneliness, but solitude. The man without individuality does not see solitude, but loneliness.
Having "individuality" and "inner life" won't get you laid.

based.
>>24713781100% dude. Also never leave your room, never watch a movie, never read a book, don't look at images or listen to music made by others, don't even think or write in your culture's language. All these are tainted by the Outside and the Collective and are merely crutches for those who aren't mentally self-sufficient. The most meaningful thing you can do is gaze at the blank walls of your room listening to the sound of your own breath. But wait, hang on, then you'd be interacting with your external body and the sense of self that you've inherited from your past. Only someone who isn't satisfied with the pure isolated present would ever feel the need for such things. Better to just kill yourself, become a heap of pure self-sufficient bone, and never interact with the inherent otherness of existence ever again.
I used to think that I was a based hermit too but then I realized that I just replaced IRL interactions with interactions through social media like posting on this website or leaving comments under a youtube video or whatevereither way I still express myself and look for validation from othersthat's what you did when you made this thread too
>>24716014>The most meaningful thing you can do is gaze at the blank walls of your room listening to the sound of your own breath. There are schools of monks who do exactly that. Clearly they see something in it.
>>24713781So you're gonna pretend you don't need human contact just because this guy told you it's gay? He probably wrote it before during or after going to a brothel.
>>24716069Yeah thats true, but then again did you comment to agree with the video or the mob? Or did you add a staunch resistance. I Think solitude is that you're ok if no one sees it your way. They pestered buddha in every way, while he meditated under the tree. He ate a few pieces of bread and they instantly said he gave up on celestial being.
