Don't use adverbs or adjectives. Only use precise nouns and verbs.

Adverbs make sense when they are part of a phrase the reader expects to be there, even if the adverb doesn't add additional meaning. >a very unique swordvs>a unique swordUnique might mean one-of-a-kind, but a "very unique" sword is more evocative. Swords are pretty similar to one another, but every sword is also unique since it's made by human hands rather than a machine. "Very unique" implies that it differs from other swords by more than you expect.Imo this is similar to sentence length. Variance will make it better - use adverbs for emphasis on sentences that matter (or vice versa).
