I read CAS' "The Maker of Gargoyles" recently. He has such a satisfying way of blending atmosphere and action, I love his Averoigne stories

Still working on a fantasy epic with metempsychosis, blood rituals, political intrigue, theology, vigilantism, Grendelesque ancient monsters, etc.
>>
Why these bunch of specific general threads? Doesn't "sword and sorcery" mix with fantasy stories? Why make this general?
>>

Any Averoigne stories in particular you suggest?

because he's a faggot

I haven't read them all but A Night in Malneant is my favorite. The Holiness of Azedarac and A Rendezvous in Averoigne are also good. I haven't read a bad one yet, which is saying something since I broadly dislike CAS' scifi.

Not OP but yeah there's no reason for a separate thread since /sffg/ already loves CAS and REH. But while this thread exists I'll post here ig

I've been waiting for an opportunity to post this. Original anon hit the nail on the head

So this is the designated retard containment thread? No intelligent people read fantasy slop.

An inability to engage with speculative fiction is the mark of a midwit. It's the "What if you didn't have breakfast" test for literature

Because basic bitch "fantasy' fucking SUCKS, that's why.
