I have just finished listening to Blank Generation. Are any of Richard Hell's books worth reading?

the second voidoids albums has some gems on it, too.

i read in an interview with him that he was bored with all of the beat generation imitation in the counterculture and wanted to bring in french symbolist/decadent/surrealist influence, an idea which i like. but the excerpts i heard from his prose didn't sound like they lived up to that idea. in contrast, i enjoyed tom verlaine and patti smith's little poetry book "the night" when i read it a long time ago.
