Where do I start with him?
>>24724378Why do beergut art chicks always have TSA-lady claw nails?
>>24724401lol
>>24724378Story of the Eye, naturally
>>24724378what a tiresome type. I Miss when women were illiterate.
I've read L'anus solaire and histoire de l'oeilApparently Le Bleu du Ciel is pretty good but I haven't read it because histoire de l'oeil is the most disgusting work of literature I've ever read, I despise Bataille, he is the antithesis of my very being
>>24724401Subculture dog whistles.Like how swingers use upside down pineapples to signal they are in that lifestyle these hoes use coalburner nails to signal their preferred shade of dick.
His book about Nietzsche is bizarre and reads like a diary. Would recommend.
>>24724618Thats nasty
>>24724378Story of the eye, then erotism, then the cursed share and finally the internal experience
>tranny>loves BatailleMakes sense.
>>24724627Because it partially is his diary. I would recommend Guilty (Le Coupable) however, which is mostly diary just at the outbreak of wwii (you don't necessarily need to have read or gotten Inner Experience). One of the more beautiful texts Bataille has written, and quite underrated (by online types at least - who go either the smut route with Eye or theorybro with Part maudite).

>>24725786>YOU CAN’T TALK ABOUT WRITERS ON 4CHAN’s BOARD DEDICATED TO WRITING BECAUSE… BECAUSE I SAID SO!!!blow me
>>24724378My first book of his was Lascaux or The Birth of Art, which I bought without even knowing who George Bataille was. I had just watched that Werner Herzog documentary about prehistoric cave paintings and thought they were cool. It's probably the most wholesome of his works. Pretty good too. I recommend it as a first read if you like the subject. Anyway after that I skipped straight to The Accursed Share and then jerked off numerous times to Histoire de l'Oeil.
>>24724378depends on what you want. if you want like fiction, go SOTE and then maybe his poems or some shit. if you want theory you have a fuck ton of options. For me, I think the Accursed Share volumes are his most original and impressive accomplishment, but you could go with some of the weirder shit if you wanted like on nietzche or inner experience or even visions of excess to an extent.
>>24725818Bataille is a depraved French sicko so it's only natural that trannies would take an interest in him.
>>24724378Depends. If you're into literary theory, literature and evil. If you can find his essay on lautreamont, that too >>24724409This, if you're more into fiction.
>>24724378I started with Bataille by reading the key essays from Visions of Excess (Solar Anus, Big Toe, Materialism, Base Materialism and Gnosticism), before moving on to The Accursed Share Vol. I, which I'm still in the process of reading. I also once edged my way through Story of the Eye, climaxing at the "eye" scene.

>>24724378The accursed share. tl;dr how sacrifice works, and by extension the sin/corruption/inefficiency of abusing one sphere of life for advantage in others.
