What should I read before I tackle The Big One?

I've read some books of his that were reasonably short (like the myth of blood, meditations on the peaks and the metaphysics of war). You dodn't need to read anything to understand the core concept since he does a pretty good job explaining his frustrations and ideas. But I believe that in order to understand better where he's coming from you would need to read some of the great ancient epics (which you should read anyways) like the illiad the bagavad gita and the quran.
