How about a research thread for current projects? Share a little about your project and what research you're doing for it. Or maybe how you go about doing research in general. Ask others for advice. Give others advice. Post pics of stack if you have a physical one. Here's some books/essays I'm using for my novel.
In Praise of Shadows is great. Here is my stack a posted in a related thread and got seethe because a research thread apparently was nonfiction only.

>>24729423i've been wanting to read that simmel text.>Here's some books/essays I'm using for my novel.i enjoyed trying to infer what kind of story could incorporate all those influences. seems important to have a productive end goal for a research project. i'm working through a loosely connected reading list right now, but i need to figure out how to transmute all those notes into something creative. no one's ever going to read a substack essay. maybe i should try making an eroge dating sim.

I use this/Cicero's speeches more for tone/register than actual research material, because I already know and because my story takes place in fantasy not-Rome. Still, it's always good to have an authentic cadence.
>>24729493I should add I'm probably going to incorporate sociology of religion and philosophy of religion to understand how certain cultural/religious groups maintain their worldviews.
