Autumn is here, the coziest season. What books are you planning to read?
SuttreeLe Rouge et le NoirFaustHenry IV Parts 1 & 2 (reread)
>>24731028where is that?
I re-read LOTR every year in November. I don't have any other plans.
>>24731104It’s ai. Indoor cafe tables usually aren’t soaked with rain

>>24731183damn u beat me to it while i was waiting for that shitty ass timer
>>24731183lol. good eye
>>24731190>shitty ass timerstop clearing cookies
>>24731183Boy am I ever angry that it‘s now good enough to make me feel things
>>24731228and let the surveillance industrial complex target me with ads relevant to my interests instead of random shit? absolutely not sir
I usually read Frankenstein and Dracula every October. I'm going to finally tackle some Lovecraft books this year, see what the big deal is. also have a bunch of grief books on standby because one of my students died recently and i'm not coping well.
>>24731183Wouldn't it be nice to have candlesticks at your table in a cafe?
>>24731028I was planning on reading Zafón’s shadow of the wind but I read that this month cause I was waiting for Bourne Supremecy in the mail after having finished the identity. Might read the sequel but found out it’s a prequel so im not as excited now. Maybe the Bourne supremecy now but it’s long.I bought two of John birminghams cruel stars books but I opened the first and the writing is dogshit. Probably should have read a preview.Waiting in the woody Allen book to drop in 2 weeks and then Pynchon next month so idk if I want to start a 600 page Ludlum.Idkanybody know if “city and it’s uncertain walls” or “the wind up bird chronical” are good falls books?>>24731160Perfect time to read LOTR. Something about them just screams fall to me. That being said I was going to read the hobbit this fall but read that earlier in the summer.
>>24731215Such a performative read
>>24731183Frankly I just searched Edinburgh on Pinterest and found the first pic with a book
>>24731431>woody Allen book to drop in 2 weeksqrd?
>>24731532His first full novel (though it’s only like 130 pages iirc) is out in a few weeks. “What’s with Baum”. Plot sounds like a typical woody character in a typical woody plot but to be frank I want exactly that lol
>>24731028Finishing Lucifers Hammer then onto War and Peace and hopefully will be able to start War and Peace before the new year.
Going to read Wuthering Heights and a bunch of horror
>>24731549What was the last good movie he made? Matchpoint?
>>24731247Read Cicero's Tusculan Disputations. Long but will address some of that grief
>>24731028>seasonal reading>cozyA real life women made this post. Show feet please.
>>24731467>>24731183God I fucking hate 2025
>>24731028
>>24731654Was the before or after the Owen Wilson in Paris one? I liked that one.
>>24731028I am jumping back and forth between short stories and novels by both DFW and Chekhov atm. Life's pretty damn good. Chekhob might be the funniest guy of all time.
>>24731028Man And His Symbols by JungMythology by Edith HamiltonThe IliadThe OdysseyDMT And The Soul of Prophecy by Rick Strassmani wish i lived in a place where it rained all the time, like some overcast town in Washington. once my parents die, then maybe i'll move there
>>24731229You can also tell because it's a little wobbly on the outside; look at straight lines and places you're not meant to focus at. Everything's just a little off.On that note, IJ. It's taking forever and I'm kinda stressed out due to debt stuff so it's even slower. After, I'll tackle some short works for a while to recover.
>>24732809Whoaaa dude, Joe Rogan's favorite drug, Jordan Peterson's idol and the greeks. Sounds like you will have a dull time. Sounds like someone's larping an intellectual
>>24732830I dont watch Joe Rogan or Jordan Peterson. and I'm reading the greeks just because i'm interested in mythology and philosophyi dont do DMT, never done it, and don't plan on doing it, i'm just interested in how Strassman thinks it's related to the biblical prophets
>>24731467>>24732081It’s funny to me how rule 34 has a convenient AI filter toggle while Pinterest doesn’t
>>24731028The season of suffering is here. I'm doing a deep dive into Bergson. Verlaine for poetry. And maybe some Rilke too.
>>24731028i'm in the northern hemisphere, but it's 92F here. i'm too white for this climate. it's torturous. i must venture north.
>>24731028I’m planning on Ovid and Melmoth the Wanderer, otherwise I’ll re-read The Hobbit when I finish my current book.>>24731160Always a perfect time of year to re-read Tolkien/
>>24733113i'm reading c. s. lewis' ransom/space trilogy, though. almost done with out of the silent planet. that hideous strength had long been recommended to me, but i was not expecting it to be part of a space trilogy on mars with talking otter people and space-sharks.
