I am well aware that this is bait for Amerifags but I'm going to bite anyways.I'd like to mention two things; that english translations butcher many works, and that I am fairly certain many of you haven't actually given smaller ountries from Europe enough attention. It's easy to read german and french books because translations are readily available whereas you have to go out of your way to read something written by a Croat. I know it's natural to read major works from the major nations but I can't help but feel that most of that sentiment comes from reading similair books in school because they were a part of a reading list composed by a person that has, again, read only books from these countries.
