Fiction book about extra dimensional and experiencing spiritual journey such as the spirit leaves the body (death, etc)
You don't need drugs to access the divine. In fact, intoxicants will only cloud your mind and take your farther from God and the transcendent experience. Here is an experience I recommend to you: Being a Muslim. Read about the Garden and the Fire, the fate of souls. The clear and detailed illumination of the scenes of the afterlife. As well as the obligation of Salah and mystical practices of Zikr, Firk, and Muraqaba. If you seek a transcendent experience, to see signs and miracles, something greater and beyond us.
>>24738606>In fact, intoxicants will only cloud your mind and take you* farther from God and the transcendent experienceThe real ascendant state is to rise above the desire for intoxication and maintain perpetual daily prayers.>As well as the obligation of Salah and mystical practices of Zikr, Fikr*, and Muraqaba. The Islamic mystical practice is very clear, practical, and physical. You can start immediately in meditative prayer and meditation. What you are really seeking is transcendence. To experience something beyond. It is not in drugs, it is in closeness to God.

>>24738612Sorry muzzie but psychedelic- entheogenic eucharists have been around since prehistorical times and have deeply impacted all religious and mystical traditions. Are you really so proud to question why God would place within creation the tools to access higher states of consciousness? Such a notion itself is blasphemous and reeks of nothing but dogma.
>>24738636This looks awesome
>>24738671And this isn’t to say you are to be a dude weed about these substances, quiet the opposite. The Greeks made their tradition a limited one and held it behind secrecy for a reason, and killed those who spoke of it. It’s also not to deny that such higher states can be cultivated endogenously. But in the right hands and with right cultivation, it’s concentrated divine fire to inflame>>24738674 the soul, and that’s the point.

>>24738598There's a book called DMT: The Spirit Molecule in which a doctor records the experiences of people carefully dosed with DMT.
Plenty of scenes in PKD like this
>>24738606>You don't need drugs to access the divineWestern man needs western solutions.
>>24738606This but Christian
>>24738768Christians think altered states are demonic and think eating a wafer is a religious experience when the original was a psychedelic elixir. Christians are the last people to be taken seriously on this topic
>>24738721There is nothing spiritual about DMT. In its traditional form it is hours of misery which provides a great deal of perspective. In its modern highly concentrated smokeable form, it mostly feeds your delusions. I can't say the traditional form is really worth suffering through, it is sort of like being kneecapped so the misery you normally suffer feels less miserable. The modern smokeable form is probably worth experiencing once or maybe once a decade but no more, it is amazing how effective it is at getting people to believe their self delusions.
>>24738784It’s obvious you’ve done neither form. That it dissolves the body and frees the mind before even breakthrough demonstrates the radical alternative natures consciousness is capable of, and poses massive metaphysical and phenomenological questions that have not been dealt with. Amazonian tribes base their entire shaman mysticism around it and have done so for thousands of years, but leave to one square straight edge channer fag to say otherwise. Only a retard of this kind of caliber would not see the significance of the mind having an internal light of this nature.

I say psychedelics can help you get an insight (or even a breakthrough) of the spiritual phenomena, but they are supposed to be done very few times, if more than one, in your lifetime. I hate Terence MckKenna fanboys, but I do agree with the famous quote "when you get the message, hang up the phone". Huxley said something similar.
>>24739729
the psychedelics are only a tool, like a wrench you need at work. you should learn how to see into the other side using psychosomatic techniques. you can make contact with them.>>24739715also this
>>24739734I could have sworn that was an Alan Watts quote
If psychedelics are harmless how come half of my stoner buddies from high school have schizophrenia or bipolar 1 now?
>>24739871My buddy’s wife had a psychotic break from ayahuasca. Many such cases.
>>24739876I had a psychotic break after taking mushrooms in college which recurs every few years, now on lithium. One friend developed severe schizophrenia after taking ayahuasca regularly for a summer, now he lives with his parents at 35 and is morbidly obese from antipsychotics. Another friend had a psychotic break after mushrooms and ended up doing time for jacking off in his car. Another friend had a psychotic break after a mushroom trip, shaved off all his hair and eyebrows, and now has bipolar 1. Another friend did not have a full break but did become emotionally unstable, did 5 years in prison for random violent crimes, and ultimately killed himself. Then there's the friend who jumped off a parking garage, and the other friend who shot himself out of the blue with no warning. Another friend had a psychotic break after smoking DMT regularly for a summer (to be fair he was also doing meth), he was screaming gibberish in the front yard and ended up in the loonie bin. Another friend was doing tons of methoxetamine and synthetic cannabinoids and had a psychotic break, was hearing voices, accused me of plotting against him, and so on. It's hard to believe the internet warriors who say psychedelics are fine when in my immediate lived experience they are so closely associated with severe mental illness. Sometimes they'll get buttblasted enough to claim that anyone who goes insane after psychedelics is mentally weak, as if le profound mystical secrets of psychedelics are just too much for some. They're just really powerful and dangerous drugs. "Welllll you won't go crazy unless you're already implicitly crazy!" What does that even mean? And even if it is true, you won't know you're implicitly crazy until you're getting held down and shot up with haldol now will you?
>>24739914And the only thing in common between all of them is drugs and... (You). Interesting...
