Most prison Zen stuff is either brilliant or mundane. The Buddha in Jail was an example of the latter. There was even a master who supposedly lost it and turned anarchist and was imprisoned but his stuff is also pretty boring. There are 2 books about guys who converted in prison and wound up with support from the Dalai Lama but I don't remember what they are.
