Is it the most evil book?
>>24744757I find Ligotti kinda comfy. But yes he is demiurgic. Why do think that this is the most evil book?
>>24744761It gives off some really evily vibes in a very evilish way
>>24744771Any particular stories?
>>24744757depends on what you consider "evil" I couldn't get further than a few pages into "when rabbit howls" for example.
>>24744776
>>24744799Yes Red Tower is an extremely evil story. I get what you mean
>>24744799Word salad, garbage bin Lovecraft nigger.Vague description after vague description, a complete nothingburguer of a story (its not even a story) written by an author than somehow encapsulates what everyone thinks of terrible purple prose AI writting before they were even open to the public.Bore me out of my mind, coudnt even bear myself to finishit.

>>24744835I was repulsed by every story of his I read. It's the worst of Lovecraft's prose with none of the novel themes. Ligotti's tone oozes a malevolent hatred of everything in existence (most of all himself) that even Lovecraft would shirk at; there is at least redemption in Lovecraft's interest in science and nature. The only fear I felt was for whatever wretched person actually enjoys reading this insidious literature. I knew his physiognomy would be bad from his writing but nothing could have prepared me for pic related.
>>24745689I met Thomas Ligotti at a book signing and he was with some alt girl who looked like 20 years old who kept whispering in his ear and he had to ask her to cut it out when she grabbed his dick
>>24744835>>24745689Trying too hard
>>24744835>>24745689Zoomer niggers from creepcast who got utterly filtered. Just stick to the creepypastas, they are better suited for your pea brains.
What was his special plan?
>>24744799>>24744809>EvilIt's just an allegory for cancer>>24746288I like him but most of his work is like a creepypasta without a resolution after 2 passes on an LLM.
>>24746407>>I like him but most of his work is like a creepypastalol read this comment section https://youtu.be/gAbbDpZ27fI?si=Tqr61h_W0d0Ay00b
I read The Last Feast of Harlequin and 90% of it was dreck. The end was cool doe.
>>24746429Another filtered zoomer
People say "The Conspiracy Against the Human Race" was the most depressing thing they have ever read and made them consider suicide but I didn't find anything that I hadn't already heard from Zapffe or Schopenhauer or Benatar. His short stories are great though.
>>24746428>can spend 2 hours watching a video of some guy you can smell thru your monitor>nooo Ligotti's hard and looooong
>>24746288For the record, I've read the Silmarillion when I was 9, and the illian in latin when I was 14. I think you might be right that I got filtered, much the same way I would have gotten filtered by asian diaspora female writers. I just have a very low pain tolerance for trash writing. Ligotti just happens to be the exact kind of author that attracts midwits, all-fat-no-substance but infinitely permeable to análisis. It also irritates me how much of an astroturfed plant he is, back then you coudnt stay away from the shilling for conspiracy against the human race. Actual unironic glowniggers pushing his slop.
>>24746444>“We are gene-copying bio-robots, living out here on a lonely planet in a cold and empty physical universe.” Are those people 13 or writers for Rick and Morty?
>>24744757More evil than 100 Days of Sodom?
>>24746877Grimscribe dwarfs Silmarillion
>>24744799Simply the final conclusion of atheism. It's scary for atheists because most don't really know what they believe.
>>24746428The retards in the comments would be creaming their pants if it were a Lovecraft story; I don't even like Ligotti but "verbose and big words that I don't recognize" is not a valid criticism of him.
