>100 days left in the year
you're finishing one more doorstopper before 2025 right? you reached all your reading goals, right?

Yea have two hundred pages left of “east of Eden “

I've read anna k, middlemarch, moby dick, and gravity's rainbow this year. I'm good.

Yes in fact I’m literally working on Infinite Jest right now. Only way I see myself not finishing it is if I get totally sidetracked by other books. Which is a decent possibility honestly.
>>

You only read 10 pages a day?

I will probably read Making of Americans next month after the new Pynchon, not sure after that JR is also on my stack, might get to it this year.

the opposite.
I'm just reading A Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich (Sulkov).
they should make more novellas; novels are too verbose

East of Eden I wouldn't call a doorstopper. It's shorter than Dracula. Although much more dense.

I've got a few under the belt this year:
Reymont: The Peasants
Solzhenitzyn: Gulag Vol II (semi-doorstopper, I know, but gimme a break, maybe I'll finish Vol 3 this year)
Chaucer: Tales of Caunterbury (in Middle English, so this counts)
Cervantes: Don Quixote
Zola: Germinal (maybe? it felt pretty long at least)
Pynchon: Mason & Dixon

I want to read The Sot-Weed Factor soon. After that is a shake-up between JR and Seven Pillars of Wisdom, as far as doorstoppers go. There's still plenty of time in the year, anon! It's not even October! Currently reading Parzival by von Eschenbach and enjoying it greatly. Definitely the best telling of the "Gral" story. Much more enjoyable compared to Cretien and Malory.

Happy reading!

I have a nice little slender East of Eden

The text must be microscopic
>>
>>24749472
At the most generous east of Eden is 59800 words more
