Fell out of reading over the past year and have become more accustomed to replacing free time with internet and media, now my raped zoomer brain cannot force itself to read nor find the same amount of engagement with it as previously had, I try to read for 30 minutes a day to build up a habit but it feels like my eyes gloss over the pages because it isn’t as stimulating as what I’m accustomed to, it’s hard to even begin reading as I subconsciously put it off till later because wasting time on the computer is more “fun”. I don’t want to be retarded but I cannot make myself read, what do I do?

willpower is not enough at your level. You need to put your phone and computer underneath a couch, and covered in wet banana peels. Only with humiliation,
>ow ow! must check my DM's!
>need to know if anyone still liked me
of seeing yourself scraping your hands over the wet banana peels will you realize the sickness of instant pleasure and gratification. Walk to the park with only a book and a jumprope, when you get bored reading, do 3 minutes until exhaustion.

the hunger for knowledge has to come from within you. You cannot force it, try to find your center first, maybe meditate before reading.

You need to outscroll your urge to doomscroll down endless home feeds. When you reach the point no amount of scrolling can satisfy you, then you’ll be able to read.
