Can someone recommend some books for someone who has never been into literature. I'm interested in philosophy, spirituality, or just about anything. I have a Christian background but I'm not well read on that either and I'm open to all other forms of religion.

Tourist identified. Coil has like 40 albums. If Ape of Naples is your favorite it's probably the only one you've listened to. Explore your interests more deeply. You're a surface level person.

The stranger, Camus
Fiction/absurdist philosophy/like 100 pages

This is a good rec. The sooner you move on from Christianity and come to terms with the naked existence, the sooner you can self actualize.

The only thing this book >>24760394 will teach is how shallow of a philosophy existentialism is and how mediocre of a writer Camus was.

Romeo and Juliet
Robinson Crusoe
Keats Poems (particularly the Odes)
A Christmas Carrol

On the Consolation of Philosophy by Boethius is a must read.

>>24760387
Mere Christianity CS Lewis

Read The Solar Anus by Bataille
>>
>>24760387
The Life Divine by Sri Aurobindo
>>
>>24760393
it's still kinda top 5 even after you listen to all their material
>>
Unironically just read The Hobbit if you're literally Brand New to books. The Hobbit is a children's book but if you don't read at all it's not a bad place to start.
