what kind of retard actually reads philosophy?anything worth knowing at such a meta level, i've already thought or perceived myself.the only reason why you'd want to read this shit is being a low IQ pseud who likes to feel more intelligent than he actually is.
Because it's entertaining.
>>24764968how do you know what is worth knowing?
The only reason you create these gay ass threads is because you either like to feel more intelligent than you actually are or you are brutally honest about your daftness in which case I salute you.
>>24765006it's immediately evident>>24765550struck a nerve huh?
>>24764968do universals exist or not OP?
>>24765749i dont know what a "universal" is and i do not wish to know
>>24765792if you don't know what it is how do you know you've already thought or perceived everything worth knowing about the problem of universals?
I minored in philosophy because it was the easiest subject and now I get to say "nah you're wrong, I studied philosophy you know".
>>24765796you're such a fucking pseud holy shit
>>24765837You claimed to essentially know everything about philosophy intuitively. I gave an example of one of the most commonly discussed and famous problems in philosophy. you said you don't know what a "universal" is. I asked how you know you intuitively know everything worth knowing about philosophy if you don't know what one of the most common concepts in philosophy is. At what point was I a pseud? It seems like YOU are the pseud.
>I already know all there is to know>People reading what other people knew about life and new persepectives are pseudsI hope you're 17, OP. It'd be very cringe if you kept thinking like a teenager in your 20's.
>>24765852Not OP, and it's unlikely that OP really is a native philosophical genius. However, you need to understand that you are this generation's leddit atheist.
t. lazy undergrad who gets his "insights" from internet shitposts
>>24765987>I just wanted to let you know that I mentally categorized you into a meme about redditors based on two postsgood for you
>>24764968People who actually really care about a subject tend to be strongly driven to learn about it. Because they actually care about it.As opposed to just wanting to pose with it like a social media prop like (you) do.
Believe it or not philosophical discourse is absolutely essential for a society.Because we live in a shared world and need to communicate with each other. And this means we must engage with the worlds of interpretation others are coming from.Philosophy isn't about "being right" it's about communicating ideas. But of course matters of truth are included within that. The most important value of engaging with philosophy is learning to communicate ideas.
>>24764968What is this phenomenon called where people that don't like/care for a certain topic act like they don't need to know it and that they are enlightened for their willful ignorance?Btw, you sound like you get your philosophy from out of context quotes and political commentators.
>>24765749You're asking OP to give a theory of existence, which is required to answer that question.
>>24766056Republicanism.
>>24766062if the question is unanswerable then he could say that
>>24764968I dunno what kind of retard reads fiction? What an obtuse, pointless question.
