Are there any audiobooks worth listening to?I have two credits on Audible.
>>24765182If you like classics, Moby Dick narrated by William Hootkins and Don Quixote narrated by George Guidall were both a treat to listen to.
>>24765190Just picked both up. Thanks anon! Look forward to listening.
Pic related is a rare philosophical text that is full of keen insights but also accessible enough to be a good audiobook. It helps that he is looking at history much of the time. Really a classic.
>>24765195np friend! hope you enjoy them as much as I did :)
>>24765190George Guidall does a good Gravity's Rainbow too
>>24765182
>>24765182I only listen to genreslop on Audible/in audiobook form, after all it is an inferior, passive form of entertainment that does not result in good comprehension or retention. Therefore, I physically read all important works, and only listen to fantasy/sci-fi shit like the Horus Heresyto fall asleep, or while doing something physical like manual work or exercise. Don't waste your first interactions with the classics using Audible.
>>24765182Lolita narrated by Jeremy IronsThe Castle of Otranto narrated by Tony Jay
>>24765190Im going to say it. A lot of the little isemi-philosophical nternal monologues of moby dick are a bit trite and basic nowadays. Maybe they were more compelling back then.
>>24765182This faggot's audiobook of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is really good.Elijah Wood's audiobook of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is good. And the Roy Dotrice Game Of Thrones audiobooks are good.
>>24765315Forgot picrelThis faggot
