Tomorrow morning 10:00am BST the Character and Theme requirements of will be released.

Your writing must reflect the Character and Theme requirements – the character requirement doesn’t have to be your main character and the theme can be creatively interpreted, but those who just ignore it will not be voted for.

You will have until Monday 23:59 BST to write and submit.

You will have until Friday Midday BTS to read, vote and most importantly CRITIQUE.

Submit via rentry.co – you can change the url of your submission to your story name to be identified easily.

No word count, but anything over three thousand is most likely going to drag and no one wants to read your novel.

To submit, reply in the thread with your rentry.co url using a tripcode (Namefield: Name + “#” + Password).
ANONS feel free to submit! We will just use the no.# on the reply to identify your story.

If you submit you should leave meaningful feedback for at least two other stories. Put in what you want back. There aren’t many places on this planet to get raw, no filter feedback, and it’s the best way to keep sharp and improve. And let’s not circle-jerk each other. Empty, positive platitudes do NOT count as a critique.

When you submit, you can edit your submission up until the point submissions close, Monday 23:59 BST rentry.co has a ‘last edited’ record to keep you honest.

Because of the above rule, it means there can be NO CRITIQUES UNTIL SUBMISSIONS CLOSE.

If you submit you MUST vote. If you don’t, you will be taken off the ballot.

Submitters: When you vote on the strawpoll, use your trip when it asks for your ‘name’. Then reply ‘voted’ ITT.
ANONS: When you vote, just make sure to reply ITT first, then use your comment no.# as your ‘name’ in the strawpoll.

I’ll say again: Please remember to reply ITT ‘voted’ once you have voted (anons, reply voted before you vote, and then vote with your name as the no.# of the comment).

When you vote, remember, it’s ranked polling for 1st 2nd and 3rd, so make sure you give every story a read. If the story is too boring you can stop reading, let it reflect in the vote.

DO NOT VOTE FOR YOURSELF. YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

The strawpoll opens on strawpoll.com on Tuesday 00:01am when submissions close.

Good luck writers, readers and red-headed retards all!

P.S. Dealing with shitposters, autists and rule breakers. Let it reflect in the critique and the vote. Ignore bullshit and give feedback to the ones who have tried. Anything obviously over the line will just not appear on the strawpoll.

what happened to that folk story competition? Why isnt that included?
>>
>>24767818
That was one of the reactionary contests, right? or around that time. If I remember right it was just the OP saying he'd pick his favourite, rather than a popular vote or a cast of "vetted" judges; /wibac/ has extra legitimacy from pulling judges from /lwc/, tripfags or not, and even if one of September's judges ditched. And legitimacy aside, /lwc/ and /wibac/ are easy to keep track of because they have names and schedules; I'm not going to scour /lit/ for every contest that pops up.

I don't want to widen the scope arbitrarily, nor put in the work to find and format every random contest.

Im going to make an MP3 based choose your own adventure story, that works right?
>>
>>24767716
I rewrote the OP so it's more readable. (I dropped the stuff about anonymous submissions because it's unverifiable and confusing; there were zero anon submissions last time anyway.)
