Are people who read +6 hours a day real?
>>
>>24769082
Yes. Now fuck off back to whatever shithole you came from. Take your slant whore with you.
>>
Thiamine + k2 + redbull makes this possible
>>
i read anna karenina for 3 hours straight then humped my fleshlight for an hour before going to bed last night
>>
>>24769121
K2?
>>
>>24769082
Are asian women real?
>>
>>24769230
Vitamin k2
>>
That's really a lot. Last week my max was 5:30 and that's only because I was reading trashy webnovels. When I read seriously past 2h I can't parse anything.
>>24769233
The Chinese are masters in the demonic arts of face painting and they're infamous for abusing filters. Not saying she's ugly but you never know.
>>
>>24769121
Thiamine?
>>
>>24769082
Semen retention makes this possible
>>
>>24769082
Yes, but they're NEETs.
>>
>>24769082
I read nazi posts from frog posters online for longer than that most days, I don't read books for that long though
>>
>>24769082
On a good day I can do that. I did that with Les mis.

Usually I do ten pages per hour for the whole day.
>>
it's called being a NEET. or a student with no friends
>>
>>24769082
The diminishing returns pile on so fast I find it’s not worth it, at least with dense materials
>>
>>24769390
>a student with no friends
I read so much back in secondary school and university, whole days spent in the campus library. I used to wake up at 4am to read in french when I was learning the language, then come back at the end of the day to read the same amount and see how much of the text I'd retained.
>>24769423
As I've gotten older, I find I'm more prone to emotionally attach myself to my reading, so that every book is a gateway to a whole 'nother being than what I'm used to. I may also have mpd
>>
>>24769296
She is obviously fucking ugly and anyone who is not a faceblind autist can tell. Shovelfaced plastic surgery disaster with a thick layer of paint on her face.
>>
>>24769082
I read messages from my friends on 4chan for 6+ hours a day
>>
Women really are children.
>>
>>24769296
>The Chinese are masters in the demonic arts of face painting and they're infamous for abusing filters. Not saying she's ugly but you never know.

Hence my question.
>>
>>24769082
Have you heard of university studies? Do they exist in your backwater shithole?
>>
its so funny that people fall for this kind of marketing. especially so called enlightened chuds on 4chan that are supposedly so above normies. we like to criticise boomers for going to strip clubs and just wasting money and time for sitting around with boners and leaving with nothing, but then these millennials and zoomers will buy products because a heavily photoshopped, nipped and tucked whore was hired to stand in front of a camera and tell you to consume product
>>
>>24769082
I can read this much because I have an easy wfh job. Today almost all of my colleagues are out for a holiday in their country so I will read basically all day.
>>
>>24769914
>xcuck pretending to be high and mighty when they're just millennials with pretension
>>
>>24769082
I would, and do, when I have the time. Which is very rare.
>>
>>24770019
im a 1997 zillennial GOD but go ahead nigga
>>
>>24769914
>>24770116
By not making this distinction you were initially insulting yourself. kek
I take it most of us here are either Millennials or older Gen Z trying to be cool.
>>
>>24770139
and? can i not criticize my own generation, retard?
>>
>>24770144
I remarked on the irony, but I never said you couldn't. Go ahead, retard.
>>
Im reading 6-8 hours a day t. literature major
>>
>>24770149
So what is your plan with this degree. Seems useless. Literature is a hobby not a job
>>
>>24770170
>your purpose in life is to pay taxes and contribute to the gay basedciety
Im gonna write my own books or work in a publishing company

>be a neet
>have all the time in the world to read
>interesting books in my bookshelf
But reading is impossible. It's so fucking hard to read. My mind just blanks over and over and over again when I try to read the same sentence. My mind REFUSES to process the words even when I say them again in my mind
>>
>>24770170
all degrees are "useless" after chatgpt. they no longer prove intelligence or domain knowledge, only that you can show up on time and be around other people. it's a piece of paper that says "can probably do an office job"
>>
>>24769082
Splash a pail of water and we'll see her insides.
>>
>>24770214
Chatgpt can't do multiple choice exams which is what most stem majors require
>>24770174
Definitely not your purpose in life but my goal is to make good money. I like your goal as well not that it needs my approval
>>
>>24769082
>Are people who read +6 hours a day real?
Yeah, when I was 15-18 I plowed through classics, reading 16hrs a day during summers and holidays. Probably reached 400 books by the time I was 18. There's nothing to read anymore though so I just play vidya now.
>>
>>24770201
Literally just thug it out. I started reading 17 hours a week by just deciding I was going to do it regardless of how I feel, every morning at 5:30 AM or earlier. I have a full time job. If I was a neet I would not spent one happy second on anything but reading and writing. All of this to say, remember you're going to die and value your time accordingly.
>>
>>24769082
Bitches will really just use anything as an excuse to garner attention
>>
>>24770323
Please tell me more wisdom. I am in the same exact boat as this anon and I have a real desire to read more. I feel like you know the answer to my problem.
>>
>>24770350
Not him but you need to enjoy the process of reading, not the end goal of it. Just pick a book and focus on reading instead of finishing the book. I read 150 pages a day
>>
>>24770350
What Im trying to say is "outcome independence"

t. >>24770366
>>
>>24770366
150 pages a day is insane. Do you have a setup? A routine? Do you read in bed? Surely you must be comfortable as hell if you're gonna read that much. How do you stay focused? I have ADHD so it's harder for me to focus.

I also don't remember what I read but that's another issue.
>>
>>24770375
I have a nice chair. I start early and try to finish reading by 4pm. I take small breaks but dont allow myself to browse the this forum for too long. I simply enjoy reading, it's not black magic. You need to form a solid routine for reading, I'd say starting early in the morning is crucial, it really makes the difference.

tldr; start early, learn to enjoy reading, dont take too many or too long breaks
>>
>>24770390
Okay thank you
>>
>>24769423
This is why the 6 hour per day readers go into webfiction slop
>>
>>24769082
I used to when I was 20, a NEET and volunteered at a charity warehouse where I got books for free
>>
>>24769082
There isnt this much good books to read
Unless you read the same books over and over
>>
>>24769082
Yes
>>
I work at a law firm so I basically read legal literature 8 hours a day. Whenever I'm on vacation, or feel the need to during the weekend, I'll definitely read up to 4-6 hours a day.
>>
>>24770300
I, too, plowed the classics
>>
>>24770870
>legal literature
Doesn't count.
>>
>>24769884
cs major, i never had to read a book for more than 30 minutes other than for doing practice problems
>>
>>24769296
she’s ugly even with 4 hours of makeup and whatever amount of filters she looks ghastly in the morning
>>
>>24771507
she's cute because she's acting in a cute and feminine way
>>
>>24769082
Me but I read mainly webnovels, translated light novels, and when I'm feeling classy, classic scifi.
I have an entire bookcase of the classics right next to my computer and never touch them.
>>
>>24769082
Yes. They are called neets.
>>
>>24769082
i can do 6 hours a day on the weekends. how would you do that with a job on weekdays though? i'm not sure i could sustain it day in, day out anyway. i usually get a headache towards the end.
>>
>>24771226
It's not about the legal literature, it's about reading other literature for 4-6 hours whenever I am liberated from reading legal literature.
>>
>>24771888
there's nothing cute or feminine about this, it's beyond contrived and makes it embarrassing to watch her.

Yea I do that every weekday
Having a goal for the day and chipping away at my backlog helps stave off my suicidal yearnings
>t. retired neet

>150 pages a day is insane.
>a simple 1 minute per page *150 =2 hours and 30 minutes of reading per day is insane
maaaaaaaan u zoomers are cooked

>maaaaaaaan u zoomers are cooked
no offence but you sound exactly like a low iq zoomer
>>
>>24773507
Thank you! I work very hard on my social camouflage you see :^)
>>
>>24769082
hard to do if you have a job.
>>
>>24769082
I'm sure people do it, but I feel like it has to hurt comprehension and retention. I only read a few pages per day, reread those same few pages a couple times, and then spend an hour or so thinking about it to make sure I really got it. It works a lot better than just speeding through texts to reach a certain page count or number of hours spent, which I used to do until I realized how little I was actually understanding.
>>
Maybe some do but very rarley and it truly depends on the book, some books are a bit more complex and requires more focus (this does not mean that they are bad) it can be a bit more challenging, not just the plot but minor stuff aswell especially russian classics with severeal characters with severeal similar names and so on but you get used to it. Unless your work and studying involves reading like litrature majors probably do, I assume you just mean lit books and not scientific articles during work. 6+ on my free time I doubt it, maybe 4 but very rarley for me these days, especially if you have a job, perhaps on weekends. I would say 2-3h 100-150 pages of reading is a good day.
>>
>>24771470
I was talking about real degrees that require learning. You’re being replaced by indians and AI. Code monkey is too charitable.
>>
>>24769082
I dont think I have read more than 1 hour in a row. After that, I have to go do something else. Do people read for 2-3 hours straight or do you need to take breaks?
>>
I will now purchase a Xiaomi car.
>>
>>24769127
an hour?! im impressed

How long do you guys read per day? I was able to do 4.5-5 hours 8 years ago, now I can barely reach an 50 minutes.

Anyone had anything similar happen? What is the reason? How do you fix it? I get mentally fatigued after 30-40 Minutes, even when reading in my mother tongue.
>>
>>24770300
No you didn't.
>>
>>24776171
stop using your phone
>>
>>24769082
Literally me in the undergrad. My strategy was ignore all this nerd shit until finals and then cram it all in one night. 60 percent of the time works every time.
>>
>>24770300
>There's nothing to read anymore
Definitive evidence that reading does not correlate with intelligence.
>>
>>24769082
I read visual novels from beginning to end, medium length ones usually take 2 full days starting at 10am until 8-9pm when I do other things, not including breaks to use the toilet and eat.
>>
>>24769914
>implying the 4chan chuds are the ones who will buy an expensive chink car they wont drive anywhere anyway, the same car not even available for sale outside china
the hrt is starting to destroy your obsessed brain already
>>
does reading shitposts, books and manga count? if so, im doing 6+ hours most days.
>>
It happens to me sometimes but it comes and go.
A long time ago by reading Guénon's books.
But this year it was Death on the installment plan by Céline, and the chinese novel Water Margins.
>>
>>24769082
if you're here all day, does that count?
