The year's nearly over, how many books have you read so far?
Do you have any particular number of books you have a goal by the end of the year?
I've read 14, last time I checked.

I just finished the Hobbit the other day. So far, it's one book I completed this year, which is pretty shameful. I'm reading this other book for class, but I don't count that. I'm going to read the King of Yellow next. I like to finish the year with at least five books, which I think is doable.

I'm finishing Proust's Sodom and Gomorrah. Just done with the narrator's second visit to Balbec. Fuck me that was painful, I can feel his anguish through his constant allusion to the malapropisms of the nosy hotel manager, almost like he's wishing him to drop dead of stroke. I wonder if I should go on with the series or just call it a day after I'm done with this one. Heard unflattering things about the posthumous works. Guess I'll find out.
Anyway to answer your question, probably a dozen and could probably double that as I juggle with handful phil and his stuff by the side if could get myself read a chapter of them each day. Why would I though?

I can't read for shit during school, every bit of reading energy is funneled into texts and vocabulary

I'm at 34 books so far. I would like to get at 45 by the end of the year but I'm not sure if I can do it unless I avoid longer books

I've read 7, if I get to 10 by the end of the year that's a W but 9 would be okay also.

24 or 25, I think I’m on number 26 now. Could be Im on 25.

Not really, I have a stack of books to read through but I’m looking forward to reading shadow ticket this week or the next.

You have your whole life ahead of you for leisure reading. Focus on school and do your best.

around 12 or 13
I tend to read very slow and don't really like to keep count of how much I've read

21 books so far, my goal is 25 so I'm happy with my pace
