*shits all over your Christianity*
>>24780235Unironically more entertaining than the bible
>writes CIA-approved "conspiracy" books in your direction
I didn’t really give a shit about the plot but the Jewsus stuff was interesting.
>>24780235that author is dead now>kek
>>24780235*Gets basic facts wrong because he is retarded and his jackass audience didn't notice*
The United States is the most anti-Catholic country in the history of the world.
Dan confused the dead sea scrolls with the nag hamadi codex and made other huge mistakes while stealing most of his plotline from Jesus-bloodline cranks
>>24782338>>24782358>Dan Brown didn't get the facts right in his completely made up story
>>24780253No, it isn't. It's actually incredibly dull. I read it over three days when I was locked in a psych ward cause they didn't have anything else for me to do and their "library" was three shelves of similar slop. Even with literally no alternative I found myself putting it down out of the overwhelming tedium and just laying in bed and staring at the ceiling for hours instead cause it was such a boring fucking book. It's just absurdly bad with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Even 4chan retards can shit out some entertaining stories and ideas, but Dan Brown has nothing. The bible has some great books though. Job, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, John, and so on. I'm an atheist and I keep reaching for a bible when I stand in front of my shelf searching for something interesting to reread.
>>24780235Unironically, is his new book worth reading?
You must be crazy if you think the Da Vinci Code isn't entertai->>24782496>I was locked in a psych ward...
>>24782514Funny. But I was and am very very sane. Also I think going mad would make things seem more interesting, not less
>>24782343Sure, the country with several catholic presidents whose supreme court and legislature are currently captured by catholics, who gives out billions of annual tax benefits to catholics to the point their healthcare and education systems are largely run by catholics is totally the most anti-catholic country in history.
>>24780253>entertaining
>>24782500No. I've finished it few days ago. I haven't read any other of his books (I just saw the movie DaVinci Code some years back), but I'd say that if this isn't an exception, then he's a seriously bad writer. It reads like some unnecessarily complicated bad sci-fi detective adventure for kids. There's no history connecting mysterious puzzles which I expected (there are almost no puzzels at all - Langdon just solves some stupid computer passwords), there are tedious historical, pseudoscience and pop-culture reference info dumps, the plot is some scientology-tier bullshit, the characters have no depth, the book is long as hell (I'm surprised I even finished it), the dialogues are unconvincing (like if the characters were bad movie actors - I don't know how to describe it better) and the setting has no importance. Prague is my favourite city (that's why I gave it a try) but half of the story is set in underground bunkers. It could be set on manhattan and nothing would change. I'm absolutely disappointed with Dan Brown. I may rewatch the Davinci Code movie in the future (I kinda liked it), but I'll probably never read anything from him again. Complete waste of time.
>>24780235Honestly I blame the average Christian for being kind of a retard
>>24780235The Davinci Code is unironically a masterclass in writing an engaging. Dan Brown structures every chapter in such a way that there's several mini-cliff hangers within a chapter (which are swiftly resolved) before the chapter itself also ends on a cliffhanger, Hardy Boys style. He's no prose stylist, but this particular aspect of his work is genuinely worth studying if you're looking to write something engaging.
>>24782894an engaging book*
>>24782894I agree. Even though it's prosaically a B-tier or C-tier literature, the level of engagement he's able to repeat in every chapter for the whole book is masterclass. He should stop writing his langdonslop and write a book about writing.
>>24780235IMHO the only reason it's famous is because it's controversial. Specifically, what's presented in media as the right "cool kids" type of rebellion, and that's against christianity. That's why the publisher saw commercial potential in it and made big ad campaign for it. Remember that the jew will never miss a chance for shitting on jesus christ and making it part of the culture.
