So, I love the look of having a huge collection, but it's not really needed with ereaders and such; and I couldn't afford it anyway. How hard would it be to make convincing fakes for display?
This is the saddest thing I've ever read on this site.
>>24786313I sell books on ebay and interior decorators buy "books by the foot/yard", which are valueless hardcovers purchased because their spines are a certain color. Pastel colors like pinks, purples, and yellows command a higher premium over most books in black, red, or blue (the more common colors). Truly, life is hell
>>24786313That amount of books would cost like 40,000 dollars
>>24786313You could probably buy a bunch of old used academic and intellectual type books off of the internet for cheap. You can buy an old complete set of will Durants story of civilization for a bit over 100 dollars on places like eBay.
>>24786313Fuck man, I wanna be rich and have bent railings and pictures 10 feet up the wall.
>>24786313Build it yourself. Easy.
>>24786313>it's not really needed with ereaders and suchUntil your power goes out for an extended period of time. I started slowly buying used physical books after a storm knocked out my power for a couple days. I usually buy about $25-30 of books off used book sites each month, and my collection has grown alarmingly quick.
