Why doesn’t he just muster the jungian spirit of hating trans people to will himself back into shape?
>clinical psychologist who spent decades personally helping hundreds of people severely afflicted by mental illness>academic who published dozens of widely cited papers ranging in subjects varying from practical counseling, historical/philosophical roots of psychology, research paradigms in neurology...>research scientist working on the operationalization of personality constructs as well as the neurobiological basis of addiction>university professor who mentored dozens of grad students into academic, research, and counseling careers>assisted in the development of software that increases the likelihood of at-risk students reaching graduation as a side project>accidentally became internationally famous and ended up publishing 2 best selling books (so far) as well as organizing lectures in various countries throughout the worldinb4>he's a drug addict tho!>his office was messy once!>er...you don't have a dad!>er...wash your dick!>his daughter is a slut!>y-you're Jordan>he likes the Jews!>he's controlled opposition!Still triggering trannies who don't like the truth, libtards who propagandize, racists he won't associate with, and pseuds who can't tell the difference between a media personality and real life
I heard it was his benzo addiction that wrecked him and had him turn to Russia, who put him in a coma that fucked him up.
>>24787660>muh academic successDo people still take this nonsense seriously? The fact that he has a billion papers and comes across as a total mess, emotionally and intellectually, should indicate that journal publications are a meaningless grift.
>>24787660people with long careers can also be retarded boomer chuds.
>>24787667Jordan Peterson took a doctor prescribed medication. There is no evidence he was abusing it or taking it in a higher dosage than directed by his physician. He experienced a severe side effect from said medication culminating in his seeking treatment in 2018. This side effect and symptoms related to it were not listed on the medication until 2019--after Peterson had gone public about his symptoms. In a nutshell, Jordan Peterson sustained a neurological injury from his medication. This affected his immune system and his body began reacting to random foods he normally had no problem consuming. For example, people who experience the same side effect will have histamine responses to food and drink they were not allergic to in the past. Basically, their body has seemingly random immunological responses that vary in severity and degree. On top of this there are also adverse effects on the regulation of the parasympathetic nervous system. As far as the later is concerned psychological symptoms arise (e.g. a sense of dread/terror, lack of impulse control, sleep regulation, appetite regulation, etc). When Peterson stopped taking his medication due to the above he experienced severe withdrawal symptoms. This is not due to an "addiction" but rather a physical dependency that commonly arises from wide range of medications. Akathisia is one of the worst of such symptoms as it creates an insatiable sense of restlessness. This is not simple anxiety although anxiety may arise due to akathisia which is itself a motor disorder. The reason this symptom is labelled "subjective" is because it is qualitative and patient reported. The pain one has during a migraine or a cluster headache is also "subjective"--this doesn't mean the pain doesn't exist.Peterson sought treatment in Canada but was given a poor diagnosis and thereby sought treatment at a specialized facility that developed an experimental treatment regimen specific to the symptoms he was experiencing. He was put into a comatose state so as to negate extreme withdrawal symptoms and to avoid further neurological damage. The treatment was a success and in the years since he has continued with him life and found success in multiple endeavors.People who want to attack Peterson try to label him as a drug addict. In so doing, they wish to bring in the connotations associated with addiction as a way to defame him. In realty, Peterson had a physical dependency on medication, as many people do, AND had a server side effect, unknown at the time, that compounded the dangers of simply tapering off the drug. No loaded language is needed to describe what actually happened; an appeal to the facts at hand alongside information relating to such experiences themselves suffice. Here's a medical doctor who specializes in the treatment of medication withdrawal explaining exactly what Peterson went through:https://youtu.be/C_32icvWpIg

>>24787679didnt he end up in hospital for a benzo overdose literally twice in two years? >This is not due to an "addiction" but rather a physical dependency that commonly arises from wide range of medicationskek
>>24787734Plenty of medications cause withdrawal symptoms when you stop taking them, anon. Peterson stopped taking the medication because of a then unknown side effect that is now listed on the label.
>>24787679>to avoid further neurological damageThe coma caused tons of neurological damage. He has literally not been the same sense.
>>24787647>after decades of living with moid.I hate how far that term has traveled.

>>24787679>his is not due to an "addiction" but rather a physical dependencyBro
>>24787737sure but withdrawal =/= overdose. i would agree with you and say that he is a victim of the state (he would probably be added to the black book of communism) if all that happened was withdrawals, but he overdosed twice. what kind of doctor prescribes a dose that a grown man overdoses on? and then after he gets out of the hospital still prescribes that same dose? no one ever overdoses on a pescribed dose
>>24787679>Jordan Peterson took a doctor prescribed medicationWell that was his first problem. Blind faith in the health sector let alone psychiatry is midwit behavior.
>>24787738>The coma caused tons of neurological damage. No it didn't, Dr. Pseud. The medication caused neurological damage and he was put into a coma to prevent further damage.

>>24787757>but he overdosed twice. what kind of doctor prescribes a dose that a grown man overdoses on? and then after he gets out of the hospital still prescribes that same dose? no one ever overdoses on a pescribed doseDrug overdoses can occur on doses that should be within an addicts level of tolerance for some unknown reason >Heroin overdose deaths in the Unites States more than tripled from 2010 to 2014, reaching almost 11,000 per year. Despite the use of the term “overdose,” many of these victims died after self-administering an amount of opiate that would not be expected to be fatal for these drug-experienced, and drug-tolerant, individuals.https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/0963721416664404
>wash your penis>decades of living with moldyou CANNOT make this shit up
I always liked Peterson but when the outrage against him was rising to a fever pitch I stopped really engaging in his work. 12 Rules for Life is arguably one of the best of the self-help genre and cuts most of its copycats to the core, even if it's not the best book you'll ever read. It's a shame the overly intensive and serious nature of his personality threw flame on the fire of everything surrounding him, and despite the enormity of the topics he tried to bring up and how hopeless many of them are, I must admit, there's a nobility in being less overbearing with your feelings and dramatic about everything. His slut plastic daughter, his constant health narratives (most of which seem completely theatrical and stupid), and Israel simping (I don't even care what goes on in that doomed patch of land) is frustrating.I prefer to look at him as I did when he was ascendant. It's also pretty rich how trannies mock him for not having a stable home life, suffering imagined health issues and not going along with their dogma. They see too much of themselves in him.
>>24788129>threw flame on the fireLmao. I don't know what I was thinking with that phrase. Gas on the fire.
>>24787818>contributed far more to the heritage of mankindBy owning libs? He’s fairly terrible as far as a philosopher goes.

The autists stimming themselves by repeating the same nonsensical vitriol about Peterson, thread after thread for year after year, are pathetic ideologues and resentful idiots.
