Men have a carnal side as well, but they also possess a duality inside them (spirit and body), and have the ability to suppress their carnality in favor of a higher ideal. By contrast, women in their being are ruled by their emotions and sexuality, and therefore lack a true sense of morality, therefore possessing a fundamentally Jewish character. Women cannot know Platonic love, only the fleeting feeling of romantic love. They cannot know the love of an absolute ideal, which is a crucial component of genius.
