>read all books on kindle because it's more comfortable>if I like the book I buy a copy as an ornamentis this wrong?
>>24795172Just donate to the author
It's stupid. I hate reading on a screen, if I could ditch physical and be happy with reading on a screen I would. It'd save me money and I'd be able to get rid of these bookshelves and make moving a lot easier because I wouldn't have to pack up hundreds of books. But for me reading on a screen is simply not as enjoyable as reading a novel in print. I could never give up print books unless I gave up reading as a hobby. I don't try to justify and cope that physical is better or superior, because it isn't. By almost every practical metric it would be better to have a digital collection. But I don't enjoy reading digital books. So I can't.
>>24795172It's not "wrong", but...Electronic devices emit harmful electromagnetic fields that disrupt normal cell functioning, so the less you use them, the better. And you retain more information when you read a paper book as opposed to an e-book.Just something to consider.
>>24795172Yes. If it wasn't then your guilt wouldn't be asking us.
Yeah I do thatWhen reading in a foreign language I vastly prefer having a digital text because it makes looking up words and phrases so much easierDespite that I still buy physical books including expensive editions like La Pléiade
>>24795207>because it isn'tIt is though. The third dimension alone makes it superior. >‘Objects stabilise human life insofar as they give it a continuity,’ Han writes. Living matter and its history bestow on the object a presence, which activates its entire surroundings. Objects – especially well-designed, historically charged objects, and which are not necessarily artworks – can develop almost magical properties. Undinge is about the loss of this magic. ‘The digital order deobjectifies the world by rendering it information,’ - BCH>>24795476>it makes looking up words and phrases so much easierthe absolute convenience is robbing you of something
>>24795172>as an ornamentIt's just wrong to think of it as an ornament. The book is more of an archivation medium. Something like buying a vinyl LP after you liked listening to the album on spotify. But the biggest mistake you've done is using a picture of a nigger in your post.
>>24795172It's fine but paying for things is kinda cucky
>>24795207Just checking, you do know a kindle proper is e-ink not an led screen, it uses black and white microdots controlled electronically so its the ambient light reflecting off the surface not a screen beaming at you
>>24795193>Just donate to the authorIn which part does it say he wants to support the author? tard.>>24795456>lectronic devices emit harmful electromagnetic fields that disrupt normal cell functioning, so the less you use them, the better.*ding ding ding*It looks like we got ourselves a major RETARD over here, gentlemen.
You are not doing what I do ARGGGGHH AHHHH FUCK YOU
I find digital more convenient for reading from start to finish but prefer having a physical copy on hand for reference.
>>24795549>some guy called han said books were magical therefore physical books are betterThis is the smartest board?
>>24796796I'm gonna assume that you are not retarded but just baiting. It would be a real shame if your reading comprehension was this low
For me it's listening to the audiobook on my phone.
