Best books about partying and doing coke?
inherent vice
>>24796289Follow me around and write your own
One of the least rewarding and most damaging lifestyles, speaking from experience. Cocaine is demonic. Why would I want to spend hundreds of dollars doing some shit that makes me want to kill myself when it wears off and makes me horny but doesn't let me fuck unless I take viagra and age my heart 5 years overnight. Not to mention it affects your personality even when you're off of it in the worst possible way and makes you an emotionally unstable manic narcissist. It's good to have on you if you like fucking retarded cokewhores but even that gets expensive and old and just feels so empty and cynical.
>>24796303Ok but I want to read about it. Not the same thing. I do sometimes use a little ice though.
>>24796306Ok anon I'll start working on my manuscript now
>>24796309Thanks. Can we get a little bump of it?
>>24796289My diary desu
>>24796289Cocaine in particular is a uniquely useful indicator for who is awful. It's not the illegality as such. Rather, something about the culture of cocaine itself, its effects on the body and so forth (as opposed to other drugs) is remarkably effective as a tell for who is a shitty human being. Basically, only scumbags use cocaine regularly.>>24796303This guy seems to get it.
>>24796344It's what it does to your ego.
>>24796344So books about that?
i really enjoy the symbolism of cocaine, it's the ego/vanity drug, and how do you do it? off a mirror. the most literal drug paraphernalia going. you’re looking straight at yourself. caught in the act. and what’s the tool of choice? a rolled-up banknote. little straw of capitalism. cocaine is money. it’s expensive. you’re snorting the idea of wealth through the reality of it.
>>24796344>>24796303 but isn’t that of course that’s what people on 4chan would say? it’s never been a good drug for autistic people, it’s for adhd girlies and tall white boys.
>>24796391I've seen a lot of critcism of the alt lit scene in the past 15 or so years, especially New York authors being essentially stories about annoying self aggrandizing coke heads but I haven't actually read any of it.
>>24796289Probably my first book by my beautiful jewess queen honor levy
>>24796403I'm not denying you can have fun on cocaine. I've done a fair bit of cocaine. But really at some point everyone kicks it because it's so obviously destructive. I think it really is an experience thing. If you spend time on or around people on coke you'll see how it brings out the worst in everyone.
>>24796404What if it was like a romantisy novel and like the centaur did cocaine and had a BCC?
>>24796419Yeah that would be cool
>>24796413congratulations mister on the most pedestrian, uninteresting thinkpiece on cocaine going.
>>24796444Yeah fuck it I think I'll do blow again sometime this month
>>24796446 sounds like you probably shouldn’t.
>>24796449I could screenshot this post and send it one of those former addict instragram accounts and they'd do that performative thing where they put their hand over their chest and gasp and say this is the most triggering thing they've ever seen and that their heart is beating fast now.
>>24796303>>24796344This. Heroin is way better.
>>24796461Getting spun out is better than both.
What are the odds of actually having a heart attack on this stuff? The habit has been kicked for a few years, but it is lusted after upon imbibing. (every time, actually)
>>24796461Heroin just turns you into a husk and a thief. Cocaine makes you a raging narcissist and affirms all of your worst impulses and qualities. Heroin also feels much better, is less unhealthy as long as you don't die, and is more cost efficient
>>24796461downers are inherently worse than uppers.
>>24796462I've never done meth. I've done I think 1500 mg ritalin in one day which was probably comparable and it was quite nice. A lot like cocaine but you can go longer between bumps.
>>24796393that is so hot anon
ITT:>/lit/ - 420chan
>>24796474Ritalin is very nice for reading. But ice is cheap and strong. Like hit the library, get spun, and crank those books.
This thread is going to make me relapse
>>24796468cocaine is not that unhealthy, is it? bad for your nose if you’re caning it but it’s just an upper. nobody dies from cocaine.
>>24796492It ages you like a motherfucker and does stealth heart damage that makes you more likely to die in your 40s and 50s.
>>24796492Also if you aren't a bitch and you use cocaine for its intended purpose which is having crazy porn sex with dumb bitches at the club then you have to combine it with viagra and then yes you're in genuine heart attack territory.
>>24796508not sure if i agree with that but also does anyone care about dying in your 50s? seems like a small price to pay for doing coke.
>>24796289I have coke scenes in my novel. You should read it.
>>24796544let’s see
>>24796303I always saw coke as a drug for rich douchebags so I never did it only to later realize most people around me who enjoy going out at all did it casually.
>>24796289Bright Lights, Big City by Jay McInerneyLess Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis
>>24796566>Bright Lights, Big City by Jay McInerneyDamn. I'm a big Spacemen 3 fan. I didn't realize Pete Kember titled the opener on their last album after a novel. I'll check this out for sure.
>>24796403Must explain why I hate being around it and having sensory issues to boot.
>>24796403It's a stable of drug literature that portrays coke heads as such. I've read almost the same criticism of cocaine Wilson's Sex and Drugs and Magic and in Timothy Leary's books from the 60s and 70s.Before there's Crowley. I don't remember the name of the book that deals with the cocaine addiction. The Roads of Excess, a book about writers and drugs, raises the same points with regards to stimulant addiction. In psychedelic/psytrance culture, cocaine and other stimulants are looked down because they make obnoxious self obsessed talkers out of people on the dancefloor. Some blame cocaine and similar drugs for psytrance turning to shit around the early 2000s.And then there are the politicians, who manifests the megalomania and the extreme paranoia of a weathered cokehead. My personal guess for the reason why European political landscape is so shit and hellbent on self destruction via a pointless conflict with Russia is due to cokehead politician suffering from delusional self esteem and schizophrenic paranoia at the same time. This is very obvious in Estonian politics, which has no talking points outside of outer and inner Russian threats to Estonian identity. Investigators did a check of the bathrooms on the election evening. Only one party was found without traces of cocaine. What's funny is that the aprty was EKRE - Eesti Konservatiiv Rahva Partei - Estonian Conservative People Party - whose political agenda is literally, and I'm no kidding here, literally, composes of /pol/'s talking point. As if someone from the party decided that building your program on /pol/ memes is a good idea.I think academic people underestimate how relatively innocuous drugs like cocaine and heroin and alcohol can actually change thinking and perception, which in turn may lead to catastrophic historical events. Everyone's afraid of LSD because it changes perception in an extreme way. Barely anyone ponders about alcohol and perception, or cocaine and perception. And they're far more popular, far more accepted, than LSD.It's not 4chan's meme that coke is a shit drug. It really is a shit drug.

>>24796289Not explicitly about it but related.Very Important People: Status and Beauty in the Global Party Circuit by Ashley MearsDescription:>Million-dollar birthday parties, megayachts on the French Riviera, and $40,000 bottles of champagne. In today's New Gilded Age, the world's moneyed classes have taken conspicuous consumption to new extremes. In Very Important People, sociologist, author, and former fashion model Ashley Mears takes readers inside the exclusive global nightclub and party circuit―from New York City and the Hamptons to Miami and Saint-Tropez―to reveal the intricate economy of beauty, status, and money that lies behind these spectacular displays of wealth and leisure.Mears spent eighteen months in this world of "models and bottles" to write this captivating, sometimes funny, sometimes heartbreaking narrative. She describes how clubs and restaurants pay promoters to recruit beautiful young women to their venues in order to attract men and get them to spend huge sums in the ritual of bottle service. These "girls" enhance the status of the men and enrich club owners, exchanging their bodily capital for as little as free drinks and a chance to party with men who are rich or aspire to be. Though they are priceless assets in the party circuit, these women are regarded as worthless as long-term relationship prospects, and their bodies are constantly assessed against men's money.A story of extreme gender inequality in a seductive world, Very Important People unveils troubling realities behind moneyed leisure in an age of record economic disparity.
>>24796749bit rich for you to come out with something like this then start throwing around schizo accusations. anyway, yeah, if you’re a ‘proper’ druggy, coke is probably a shit drug. if you’re more like a normal person it’s a very fun drug that comes with a lot of positive connotations and is user-friendly and girls like it and besides the price has few downsides. i reckon you could check any bathroom in any important building in the world and find traces of cocaine. they found it on the urinals in the house of parliament. what do they call it? the champagne of drugs.
Just how much does a bump or two cost anyway
>>24797144well they’re not sold in bumps
Rules of Attraction by Bret Easton Ellis
>>24796303what would meth do instead with what you wrote?
>>24796749>hellbent on self destruction via a pointless conflict with RussiaSuch a low IQ take on the European Russia take, seeing the human centipede of /pol/ at the point the excrement finally exits the last body is always hilarious.
>>24796749Brevity is the soul of wit, cockhead
>>24797274Meth is like coke in the 1980’s before it was so stepped on and cut with other crap. Unfortunately a lot of plugs are cutting meth with fentanyl nowadays
>>24796289Disco Bloodbath by James St. James
>>24797274Consider the fiction of Philip K Dick and the poetry of Ted Berrigan. Both of them also died from meth related heart issues.
>>24797274Meth is quite an effective drug when taken in oral capsules and in therapeutic dosages. Yet you’ll find people recklessly go binging, smoking up 8-balls and then complain about how they went into psychosis and ended up in a psychiatric ward
>>24797130Kek, yeah that's what happens
>>24796521Often that means dying before you see your children get married and give you grandkids. Yeah, I think that might suck
>>24798013hardly compares to a heroin overdose at 27.
Since no one answered OPs question...Theres a lot of partying, Pussy and Cocaine in this book. And its not fiction.
>>24798025Forgot the pic lol
>>24796749Richard-Davenport Hines goes into this a bit in his book "The Pursuit Of Oblivion", which I got yesterday thanks to this thread. Psychonauts by Mike Jay I heard is good too.
>>24796549when it's being used or purchased or dumped? there's a whole "arc" of coke in my novel
>>24796289coke is a mongroid drug. at least other shit feels good while ruining your life and doesn't make you that much of a scumbag
>>24798140used
>>24796393I coomed
>>24798145Coke feels amazing when you're on it. It just has a horrible comedown unless you have benzos on hand to manage. The reality of a coke comedown is being horny and suicidal for 2-4 hours without being able to sleep, usually jerking off your limp dick and wondering where your life went wrong.
>Gonzo papers
>>24796303>>24796289Coke is great if you're not autistic and have enough willpower (not much needed really) to not let it control your life. I've been using it once a month for over ten years and I've never had any problems. Makes the party awesome, the conversation more interesting, and the night more memorable. Provided you're doing it with interesting and intelligent people of course.I don't see how anyone could let it take the steering wheel from them though. Doing it every weekend or, God forbid, on a daily basis seems like it would destroy all the fun. And fun, as we know, is what the drug is all about.
any good books that replicate the feeling of doing ketamine?>>24796393you also do ketamine off a mirror with a straw, and it's also very expensive
>>24798365are you in aus or something? ketamine isn’t expensive.
>>24798378USA, it's 80 dollars per gram, and 1 gram is equivalent to 2 K-holes with my level of tolerance
>>24798550That seems like a pretty reasonable price
Drug-users directly and indirectly contribute to every single problem in society. Every bump snorted by a slut is worth its 50 times its weight in blood from cartels.
>>24798550is your dealer robbing you? uk it’s £30 a gram. it still sort of has the ‘poor man’s cocaine’ reputation.
>>24798571It took too long ITT for someone to bring this up. All of the most gruesome cartel videos you've ever been exposed to happened because Miguel and Chico were competing over the cocaine market. Stacies doing bumps are directly downstream of horrifying tortures and murders.
>>24798571>>24798585the moralising anti-drug arguments come very close to sounding like vegan arguments about meat-eating
>>24798594>Its okay that a bunch of innocent Mexicans are being terrorised by drug lords so long as I can get my rocks off at the club
>>24796289mr nice
