Yeah it's weird how Hinduism was seen as cool and profound among westeners between the 40s and 70s despite it having no depth beyond
>just do what you are asked by your master as your caste requires
Must have been the drugs

Well THAT was defenitely more for the mystical than for the exoteric aspect. Atman-Brahman-dynamic or a cyclical view of time were at the time very novel concepts and explained many things unexplained or unsatisfactory in christianity, like the psychedelic experience

The most interesting Hindu teachings are later developments and aren't in their scriptures
Their scriptures are copious and boring

Na I'm a Mexican Christian
I tried to read the Hindu scriptures but they're too boring and weren't very helpful for me
I just read the first part of the srimad bhagavatam and it felt like most of it was just
>This is so deep bro
>This is gonna help you self realize
>Krishna's passtimes and shit
But then it doesn't get to a point and tells a bunch of stories about kings and servants.

Filtered. Free will is an egregious lie, the Bhagavad Gita just exposes the flaw in your cucked semitic belief in free will.

If I dont have free will then me killing someone for personal gain isnt evil
>>

Isn't everything a lie in Hinduism because of maya
That seems like a difficult doctrine to apply to ones life. We seem built or programmed to live as though free will exists even if it doesn't, otherwise how could we go about holding people responsible for their actions

>me killing someone for personal gain isnt evil
That's not a choice you actually have.

>Mexican christian
You mean Catholic, who aren't Christian since they worship Mary and saints
Especially the ones from Mexico where they worship a literal propaganda piece (Guadalupe) and an old pre-hispanic goddess of death painted as a saint to not arouse suspicion (Santa Muerte)
