Hello /lit/, I want to get into Tanka writing.Are there any collections that I should look out for? Any major Tanka poets I can enjoy? I heard a Japanese poet say that there are love letter tankas and more philosophical ones, is there a way to seek out the latter?
so far I have a vague understanding of how the poems are dated by the symbols of their seasons, and how the poems end with a personal reflection, I like this poem from the wiki.
It's difficult to find good-looking copies of tanka translated to English.
