Stupid people read for fun, to learn, and to confirm their biases.
Smart people read to learn things they can't learn on their own, and to invigorate their thoughts with input from other thinkers. Plus all the same reasons as stupid people.
Just like with your post – you thought you had it all figured out and thought you were smart, but then I, someone smarter, came along to enlighten you, and now you are filled with deep thoughts and gratitude.
