What are some recommended books from Ukraine?
i cried when i say in the news that dostoyevsky had ordered a missle strike on a ukranian apartment complex.
>>24820396gogol and bulgakov I guessalthough bulgakov thought ukrainian nationalism was goofy
>>24820396Ukraine only produces Holodomor propaganda and nazis screeds, you won't find any good books from them
>>24820396The real tragedy about the Ukraine war is that it is super easy to solve>Cede Russian claimed/held land to Russia>Remainder of Ukraine joins NATOBoom. Solved, everyone is happy
I don't care about Ukraine and I don't know why anyone else, including Russia, does. It reminds me of two pigeons I once saw fight over a piece of hotdog in the street.
>>24820406>bulgakov thought ukrainian nationalism was goofysource?
>>24820419More like everyone is pissed. Both sides have too much ego to cede anything.
US/NATO don't have any interest to make Ukraine joins NATO at all
>>24820452means to reply to >>24820419
>>24820419the problem is Russia won't allow any NATO proxies within their borders
>>24820419you are retarded, russia refuses to let ukraine into NATO and do not want a eu aligned leader. They want a fake state like Belarus.
I am just happy so many Russians are dying, fucking pieces of shit
>>24820396If you want something written in Ukrainian then Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors is alright. Shevchenko's poetry is also alright. If you care about Russian literature and culture then Gogol's early works, especially Taras Bulba were particularly influential in how the region was perceived although I think his later more "Russian" stuff is overall better. Isaac Babel is quite underrated, but I'd really recommend his Red Cavalry and Odessa Stories. I can't say anything about the quality of the translations for any of these books.
>>24820419If one party just surrendered in every war, those wars would be over. Huh.
>>24820511NATO is a fiction, half the states in Europe are fake too.
>>24820396Dead Souls
>>24820396>african countries savaged by african mercenariesIn August 2024, the governments of the West African nations of Mali and Niger both severed diplomatic ties with Ukraine. The break in relations occurred after comments made by a Ukrainian military intelligence official appeared to confirm Kyiv's involvement in a deadly attack committed by al-Qaeda-affiliated jihadists against Malian soldiers and Russian mercenaries.
All those Russian authors would have supported the war. Especially Dostoyevsky
>>24820426That's your go-to example of a fight over something you can't understand? You don't know why pigeons would want food?
lmao who gives a shit about the opinion of some castrated weeb on the internet
>>24820396based Russia making trannies literally cope seethe and dilate
